2k climb in 2 miles. Endurance markedly improved since starting the TFNA 7 weeks ago. Leg muscle mass noticeable now. Core strength and general strength significantly improved. Belly fat way down from fat to dad bod. Overall weight still down to 212 but way more noticeable in fat loss than the scale shows due to muscle gain. There was 0% chance of me walking a 20% incline sustained for more than 1/2 a mile a year ago now it's just a warm up. 20180917_194841.jpg

I gained the 9lbs I lost prior to the GC hike! Finally got on the mtn bike today. Had fun but that was painful. Will get another ride in tomorrow so hopefully this will start a pattern.

Great ride at Fantasy island mtn park with @DukesTaco!!! We rode more than planned and had to take the paved access road back but lots of fun!

Short hike on S. Mtn yesterday and a fun mtn bike ride at FINS today. The nicer weather is making it easier to get out and get a workout in. The diet needs to change but I love my burgers!

Been meaning to update this after I started the AZT. First passage was a real test. 19 miles 4200k AEG with about 3600 of it coming in the first 5 miles. Really pleased with my progress after starting the TFNA program, even just after the first 8 weeks. The time in the gym and treadmill really paid off. Where I really noticed it was in the heart rate and learning about it in the book. I was able stay in the lower heart rate zone giving me the ability to push for nearly 9 hours straight with only 30 minutes of stop time for the entire passage. Passage 2 went much of the same but was 14.5 miles over rolling terrain 2600 aeg a bit deceiving because a lot of the AEG came in short 600 foot climbs in 0.5-.75 of a mile 6 hours moving and 12 minutes stop time mostly to adjust the pack. My hydration line got pinched on the top of the pack cutting off flow.
