If you're going to NTC, I am assuming you're in in a BCT what will be doing a rotation. If so, whatever "mods" you make to your vehicle might be wasted if you are not taking that vehicle to NTC. If you are taking that vehicle, it will probably be shipped by rail to Yermo, so it will be inspected and sanitized/T.I.ed before it gets on the train.

For home station, I'd get an old BII box and load it with any vehicle specific stuff you want. Jet boil is great. Camo netting or an old chute with some camo net polls is awesome. I'd try to find a tan RTIC cooler or cheaper version and spray paint that in a subdued color. Obviously you know by now if you don't put your name/unit/vehicle number/UIC/battle roster # or the like on a box or cooler then it will be tactically acquired by someone else - and even that won't stop someone.

Our FSC sucks, or the coordination with the FSC sucks. If you're in a similar boat, then in that BII box I'd put some extra vehicle fluids in there. If you're at Bliss, their checklist to do tactical movements is pretty comprehensive (reflective triangles, tool kit, fire extinguisher that is inspected, and on and on and on...) so that BII box could be used to old all that. As much of a pain in the ass all the stuff Bliss required was, it is all stuff that you should with your vehicle. There are locations in the ranges north of Bliss are almost as isolated as the box at Irwin, so if you can get that checklist you should be in good shape at NTC. I've seen people bolt the BII box to their HMMWV, which with a lock is good to prevent stuff from walking off, but then you can't take that box back to your team/Squad/PLT/Co area when the vehicle is just sitting tin the motor pool.

Another thing to consider with the BII box is that if you do not bolt it to your vic then you can load all your stuff in it and ship it to Irwin for use at NTC regardless if you are using your own vehicle or drawing one from Irwin during RSOI.
