I have 17 DCSB that I put the full OLd man emu lift with the medium Dakars. I have a snug top GB sport camper, and that is the only weight in the rear. I’ve had this setup for about 10k miles. I’ve noticed that it looks like it sits a touch low in rear and that drives me crazy because I like a little bit of rake in my setup. My dad came over today and he Has a 18 DCSB all stock with the exact same size and brand tire I do. His rear sat the same height as mine does. Now Granted he doesn’t have a camper on his but I wouldn’t think the Dakars should fall that much. The HD Dakars say 600 lbs continuous weight and my shell is nowhere near 600lbs. Does anyone have the same experience ? Is there’s a problem or do I need to add another leaf to the rear?

You should have bought the heavy Dakars with having the Snug top.Measure the truck on a flat surface front and back, just using your eye sight is deceiving, also a full tank of gas will lower the back some.Nothing too worry about.

When was the last time you retorqued the bolts to your dakars? I accidentally overtorqued mine and saw over a period of 2000 miles they were not springing back. After I loosened them they were right as rain again. I had them at 110 and they were supposed to be at 87 ft lbs

Both.......I read the torque specs wrong and after I noticed that my rear end was slowly "sinking" and not coming back up, I loosened all of the bushing and shackle bolts and then retorqued then to 87 ft lbs. Now I have no problems at all.

HD Dakars says 600lbs constant weight. That top is probably only 200-250lbs.
