I have a 2006 DCSB Taco and just got rid of my 2015 F150 Supercab. The F150 was a work vehicle and I get a new one as soon as they hit 70K. Other than when I go to my nastiest hunting spots, the Tacoma stays parked. The family prefers the room the F150 provides along with the nicer ride. My Taco has 130k miles on it and has treated me well and owes me nothing. But next year when I'm in the market for a new truck, Tacomas won't be on my short list. I'll get a trailer and ATV or a beater 1st gen to get me to my wet nasty hunting spots a few times a year. I'll get to enjoy the space, power and amenities the rest of the year a new F150 will provide.

I traded my 2013 F150 FX4 with an EcoBoost for my TRD OR.

The main thing I miss is space. The F150 interior was cavernous. Power isn't a big deal to me. I don't tow, and it's not like I'm in a race to get anywhere. Not saying the Taco is slow, but there is a noticeable difference in power.

Since I drive a lot in the city, the Taco is 100x easier. I'll also add that the F150 never got the advertised MPG, even staying out of boost. I get 22-25mpg in my Taco round trip to work vs 17-18 in the Ford.

I loved my F150, but at 90k, the transmission slap was getting crazy, it'd had already go through a set of valve cover gaskets and the AC was going out. My IWE's were whining also.

Keep the F-150 and enjoy the space, power and overall comfort. I went Titan, F-150, Tacoma and hind site being 20/20 I shoulda kept the old Titan with bad fuel economy or the F-150 with the 3.5L Ecoboost. I have a double cab long bed Tacoma that I do really like now but I literally couldn't survive with a double cab short bed or an access cab even though my daughter only rides with me VERY rarely. Even the double cab is basically too small for her and all her stuff needed to be out for the day:)

I went from a 2nd gen DCSB to an '18 F150 and honestly, I could never see going back to a midsize truck. The room alone is the kicker for me. Plus, to me the ride is so much better.

Wow you went from one extreme to another. The F150 screamed look at me while the 4Runner pretty much makes you invisible. It’s nice though, congrats

This is probably the way most pickup owners should have gone if they were honest with themselves from the start.

I didn't say "All". Next time you're at the grocery store/Walmart/mall check out the trucks and the drivers. Ford isn't stopping car production because Americans all suddenly work construction...

Yeah, my wife was complaining she couldn't find it in the parking lot

I never towed or hauled anything with my F150 that the 4Runner couldn't have also towed or hauled.
