    Hello,

I own 2006 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 with a 6ft bed. I am looking to upgrade front and rear suspension (coils, shocks, leafs, upper control arms etc).
I am not looking for a lift but just an upgraded ride, stronger ride etc.. I am new to this game and want some input from you. I am thinking about Bilstein 5100 shocks or old man emu, maybe keeping stock rear leaf springs or maybe not etc. My budget is 1500$ CAD.

    thanks Adis

The bilstein 5100 set at 0” would be good option but the rear leafs could be a challenge as most out there a meant to provide some amount of lift. You could get a custom leaf pack (deaver or Alcan) made that is way better quality that OEM but meet your spec of 0 lift. Then a matching set of 5100 rear shocks to complete the package.

After some thought, I want to do a Bilstein 6112 front.(1 inch front lift). If i do a 1" lift in the front, would that level my truck with stock leafs and
Bilstein 5160 in the back? What are your thoughts?

That sounds like a great plan! That would be a great combination.

Just make sure the 5165 for the rear isn’t too long for stock. If the shock is too long it’ll bottom out before the bumps bottom out. With the front set at 1” you should be really close to level but with new springs they might sag a little after they take a set. If it’s sitting high just be patient and let it settle. I also recommend a 1/4” lift spacer for the drivers side to help offset the lean. I’m sure you’re truck has it. Post pics after you getter done.
