Also lose key fob so no push button. I liked that on the brz and my wife’s Toyota when carrying our kids or gear around.

Better throttle control/drive-ability and more power with 91/93 octane

If only the tailgate lock was keyless as well...

That would be a nice touch, but to be honest unless keyless was on the back doors it wouldn’t make a difference for me.

I tried the Auto Trans Tacoma and it just felt like everything was being Micro-Managed way too much so I went with the manual TRD Pro and there is no looking back!

The problem is I’ll be in a cast for 10 weeks. No ankle movement and too big to safely hit clutch and not brake. I’ve had this surgery before and I’ve driven many sticks with the boot on. Cast is another story. I have a complete shit ankle.

IDK I test drove a manual Tacoma the other day...it was OK...

I've had mostly manuals my entire life and do have a manual ND MX5...it is an awesome car, and fun to cycle through the gears in every way.

    But back OT...

I can see the fun factor if you're offroading and like the extra control and physicality of shifting the gears, but for a DD or to pull a trailer, I don't know. I went into this thinking I had to have a manual, but now I'm leaning toward the auto.

I had auto on our last truck, an Avalanche, and it was a fine transmission that particularly excelled when pulling a trailer.

To be honest when I pull the trigger it will probably be on price and color, not transmission. There's a '19 MT OR in Cavalry Blue, which I quite like, and I'm really tempted right now.

Build up a jig or get yourself a file...work it out, it'll keep the muscle from deteriorating (I have no idea). Would hate to see an MT go on the market for such reason...

    Gòod luck bud!

Those who like manual transmissions, like them a lot. I have rarely heard of problems with MT's. Yes a few, but compared to autos? No comparison.
I've had clutches last more than 200,000 miles, so cost wise they make sense, and if you like to do DRIVE, then MT is the only thing. I ride my bicycle most of the time, so driving is a treat. I want to be involved as much as possible in it when I'm driving. No cruise control either thanks. (I do miss it it for 800 mile + days).
