I have been outta the TW since my last TSB on my 17 was done. It fixed nothing BTW. I have read about another TSB that has worked for some, others say it only last for while?? I have also been told we are waiting for another one to come out. Did the Shift Sense turn out to be a success, quit reading that thread but last thing i read was it worked. Just called my dealer to see what the latest TSB was and i will only get hot and rant on that conversation. Please no haters or people in denial. There's an effing problem and it's well documented. On the fence right now to get rid of my 17 but don't wanna pull the trigger to early. The truck is perfect aside from this tranny bs.

I've had pretty good success with the TSB's. I would definitely get the latest one if your truck has the conditions listed. Lots of people clamor to get the TSB done that don't actually have the symptoms described then compalin about the results.

Pre TSB S mode worked wonders though.

thx, I do D mode til 5th gear then move into S to get back into 4th as to avoid getting rear ended at 35 mph with no throttle response. LOL....i do a lot of S mode full time as well.

The TSB I got was the 062 one which improved the peddle response tremendously. I had a bad hesitation from a stop and that is gone completely as well. It is free and is certainly worth a shot. I do not live at high altitude either.

I don't know that the TSB can completely remake the truck though, and lots of people are saying that the bad learning returns, but for me it made my truck better.

I also had a '17 with auto. It wasn't that bad. Got pretty good MPG, had plenty of power, etc. However, there were few other things that I wish I hadn't optioned for. So traded it on an '18. Thought if I was going to trade, might as well take care of the transmission "problem" as well. My solution:

Sorry for the dumb question but: How expensive is the OVTune? I am not too computer savvy and wondering if this can be purchased and installed?

I think it is around $770. Its easy to install, you just need a laptop with a usb port. He is just starting to put out a hand held that saves you from using a computer.
