Can anyone be recommend a decent chainsaw for $300-$400? Mostly for camping, so won't see frequent use.

Honestly though Johnsered makes a pretty decent low cost saw.

Lol I'm in the same boat. I even cut and flipped the rack mount bolt already, just unsure of pulling out the rack myself to do the swap.

First gen has 7.5” ring gear up front.
Second gen has 8” with a larger hypoid offset. That’s why I never went 35s with the penguin. And cause I drive like an asshole.

    Ja. Stihl ist gut.

I don't need a commercial grade saw. It's only going to get used a few times a year. I was looking at the Stihl Farm Boss with an 18" bar. That's about top of the mark for me price-wise.

That's what I got. Buy once. Cry once. The POS I had before last exactly 1 tree.

I only have one small tree in my yard. I want it primarily for cutting firewood while camping and occasionally clearing small trees from roadways.

Don't think I'd get very far. I'd have to stop every 1/4 mile to fish.
