Just about done with the initial tune up (cap, rotor, plugs/wires, filters, valves/gasket, belts). Still have oils (all) and a possible front main seal to do. Then lift and tires.

Are you dealing with oil leaks? When I was seriously looking at buying an 80 (will again eventually) I noticed a lot of them had oil leaks.

Assuming it is a similar setup to the 22re, you might as well install a new oil pump when you do the front seal.

Not too bad. Valve cover was leaking at the front which gave the appearance of a front main seal. We will see.

Speaking of which, me and my brother were driving down a country road today in his Tacoma and I spotted some city slickers, who had no business being there, stranded in the wash underneath a bridge we drove over. He said the surface was crusted over and looked solid enough, but there was some deep mud right underneath that swallowed them up.

I told him to turn around and pull them out. They were stuck for over 2 hours.

The owner of the Land Rover offered gas money, but I told him to just pay it forward and help the next stranger he encounters who needs help.
