I have an 05 SR5 4.0L V6. I wanted a nice loud exhaust which would also give me a nice HP gain. I care more about the gain than the loudness. Ive been reading on here and everyone repeats brands like magnaflow catbacks, TRD's, and Dynomax superturbo. I was thinking about getting the Dynomax, but what I wanted other's opinions. What do yall think about the Dynomax SuperTurbo? Is it the best thing I can get for gain/loudness? I also dont want to spend a whole lot of money on an exhaust. I just want loud and power gains.

Dynomax was perfect for me. It'll get you the most gains but it won't be the loudest. Plus it's relatively cheap, because you don't need a whole catback system, just get a muffler and have a shop weld it in  hope this helps!

x2, can't confirm the hp gains but I'm really happy with my choice. Someone on here I believe did some dyno runs and hp gains were confirmed.

    Model number for what?

Also where did you guys get your Dynomax exhausts from? I tried autoanything but they didnt have it. Around how much should I be paying? And the Superturbo is just the exhaust box right? (I'm new to all this)

I assume he's asking the model number to the muffler, I used model #17748. Overall length is about the same size as the stock muffler. Amazon, Jegs, Summit all sell it,I think $50. Also a Super Turbo is one of many universal mufflers DynoMAX makes. Exhaust box? I'll guess you're refering to the muffler itself. right? Here's my setup with a dump before the axle and also tucked up higher.

guys i have a question. I havent look too much around here as regards to a muffler, but im on the market for a new one, its just the muffler itself on my truck it is pretty much half the exhaust system. It's weird, the muffler has two pipes for the inlet and outlet but the pipes seem like they are a part of the muffler itself, not welded on. And the screws for it arent anywhere near it. theres some screws for the muffler to the rest of the exhaust located near my front tires and the also located almost at the back of the truck. it doesnt seem right, and my dad has worked on mufflers a lot and hasnt seen anything like it. so in order to install a new muffler would i have to have someone cut it off in the right areas and then weld the new one to the exhaust system or would i have to find a muffler specifically made as this type?
