Alright I’ve read a lot of threads on this same question over and over again but cannot find a good answer for what I’m working with. I have a 2012 Tacoma with a 3” rough country level I currently am running 275 65r18 but just recently bought a set of scs ray 10’s in 16x8. I am wondering if I will be able to fit 285 75r16’ without doing a lot of cutting. With the tire and wheel set up I have now I have only had to cut a small part of the fender flares. I am also later on going to upgrade to a 2” ome lift and want to get the tire and wheel set up done now since I already have the wheels. Can anybody help me out?

I’ve trimmed some plastic, but not the cab mount. I have OME 887 coils and Dakar leaf springs, 16x8 & 285/75/16. I’m not sure the offset but I haven’t had any rubbing on the cab mount. I have not wheeled it hard however, but so far no issue. Just my experience. Pic is before trimming, but the inner fender liner is cut away, and I still need to trim my flares at the bottom just a bit.

I did not do a CMC and I have been running that size(285/75-16 on 16x8, 4.5" bs) for 3 years without issue. I don't go out looking for places to flex my suspension, but I drive it where I need to go. Make sure you have +3 caster. You MAY need a CMC, depending on the backspacing of those wheels...but it's really not a big deal.

I have OME 885's with Nitro shocks (around 3" lift) with aal in the rear, SPC UCA's and Pro Comp 16x8 with 4.5 bs 0 offset and there was no need for a cmc. The flares have been trimmed a little.

A, MKW noted - the adjustment to the caster helps but it still may rub depending on the backspace/offset.
