I just did a lift on my ride. 5100 all around, 888s and dakars. 285/70/17, scs f5 -38. In 1st gear, as soon as i let off the clutch to go, there is a brief wobble on the stick. Goes away after that.. 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5, 6 fine..Wasnt there when stock. Is this what the ecgs replacement is for? Could it be the wheel/tire combo. I dont feel vibes so not sure if i should be worried bout it. But i dont like it. Luv my set up tho!

Yup. After the lift got done, i went straight to alignment shop. Rides smooth on highway & low speed..

Stick wobbles only for that second or 2 when im in 1st letting off clutch to get rolling

Don’t trust the alignment or balancing. Too many issues related to tires and alignment that have been “redone”. Just keep that in mind.

    Search...

There are multiple members that have experienced shortcomings when it comes to tires and lift and tire balancing.

Wta, what gets me is that im only feeling it on the stick for that initial roll. The steering wheel is fine all the way thru.

I know, I know, but I needed a half ton.

My truck does the same thing... didn’t really let it bother me. Knock on wood 80,00 miles later and still going strong!

I'll bet that it is the normal movement of the Transmission and transfer case under load but has been exaggerated by the bigger tires. I don't believe you have anything to worry about.

I got ya but at the same time alignment and tire balancing react differently at different speeds. If you have installed the lift correctly and done the ECGS bushing you should definitely investigate all possible culprits.

I have a 2010, not sure how the 3rd gens are and i have an automatic but i had some play when accelarating from a stop. But once i installed my carrier bearing drop and lubed the driveshaft grease fittings, it went away.

I would double check everything and make sure its all tight and good.

Had this on my 2013 Tacoma and didn’t let it bother me. It’s certainly not an ECGS issue, that’s an entirely different vibration you’ll feel in the gas pedal, floor board, and steering wheel (for me)

Could be a pinion angle issue. Had a similar issue on a Jeep. Had to put a double cardan driveshaft and adjustable upper control arms In the rear. Little different setup but ultimately it was pinion angle.
