I often skim Pinterest for car ideas...
I came across this and wondered at what point do you say
"oh crap maybe I went a little too far"

This was not the most extreme 3rd gen I saw either...

I can understand full out custom Cars/Trucks, I used to go to SEMA every year when I lived in Vegas... Some of these things are just insane to look at and contemplate the hours and money that went into them (and basically made them nearly undriveable or very limited on when they get driven). Just something I was contemplating while scrolling through Pinterest.

To each their own, I guess. Sorta reminds me of an updated take on the mini monster truck thing of the late 80s/early 90s, just needs more graphics and hydraulics for the bed.

WOW Blast from the past.... I am 100% sure I had that exact magazine in a box in my garage until a couple years ago!

 

Ha, yeah, I can't remember the IG handle but there's an instagram account that just posts these over the top custom lifted mini trucks from the early nineties, and it is pretty entertaining. Just goes to show that car culture has always had fringe elements and whether or not it's something I'd ever want to be seen it, it keeps it interesting.
