I got the trd off road with the regular roof. Say I wanted to get the moon roof. How would one go about that? Trade if for one that has it or does Toyota have a way to install it?

I think Home Depot has the sunroof conversion kits. They are basically a circular saw and a piece of rubber molding. Not much to it.

You can call the dealership to see if they can do it and for how much. I know body shops can do it. I looked into putting a sunroof on my old dart and it was 2500 at the dealership and 1800 at a body shop. Both of them included the headliner and all electronic controls. I’m curious now too for my Tacoma...

Toyota won't do it. Maybe certain dealers will. Aftermarket companies have sunroof options.

But I never liked my sunroof and when I traded, I opted to not get one. I like the extra headroom.

Aftermarket Sunroofs are probably not a good idea, I would just buy a Tacoma with a Factory Sunroof.

Yeah with leakage problems and all. But if it came with a three year warranty, but then again, if they go out of business.

I would rather it be done by Toyota. I’m just curious, not that I’ll do it.,

The cost for them to install a Factory Sunroof after the fact would probably be astronomical.

I’m sure. The dart I had, my wife wanted a sunroof. We went to dodge and they wanted 2500. Wife laughed and we walked out. The Gerber body shop here wanted 1800. Wife still said no. I said to her, I guess your outa luck then. She said yup, 2 at 65 and AC is good enough.

I have looked into it for my Tacoma. Aftermarket sunroofs have come a long way, They install drains that run into the door jams to insure no leaks, and lifetime warranty’s. A guy I work with just got one for his new impala and Paid 1,200

I want to know how to do the opposite. I have a sunroof, and wish I didn't. I'd probably be happy if I could just leave the sunroof and replace the headliner with the non-sunroof version to get the extra space back

I agree, I would never do it at all but if the OP wants it it is available.

Would probably be easier to just swap cabs.
