Thanks in advance for reading this. A Conroe Texas dealer ordered into stock a 7566 Sport Double Cab 4x4 w/ long bed Nov 3rd, 2016. It arrived Apr 17, 2017. Previous to that, and just my luck, on Feb 3, 2017 I had major heart problems, my future uncertain, so I did not buy it when it came in. I'm back in the long bed market now, but as usual, none are out there, and as usual my local dealers are acting like they are doing me a favor to find me one. Are there any long beds on the lots in your area? I need a road trip anyway.

It has been roughly 4 weeks, but there were several long bed options in the Denver Metro area when I purchased my truck.

    Dealers:
    Stevinson East, Stevinson West
    Groove Toyota
    Autonation Arapahoe Toyota

    Good luck!

Mid State Toyota in Asheboro, NC has 2. I bought my 2016 from them new. Shawna is the internet sales manager and was great to work with. Great prices too.

Thanks guys, keep them coming! I'll get started calling these. As for a stick, I rowed my own in a manual 5.7 C1500 back in '97. It ran like a scalded dog, but I am not that young anymore. My left leg is still bigger than my right. So it's going to have to be an auto this time.

It's odd your local dealer won't pull up near by inventory and dealer trade for the one you want.
I too wanted a long bod and took to all the nearby dealers websites and individually scrolled through every Tacoma for sale and found all the long beds. If pics weren't available I'd run the VIN through Toyota's VIN checker to see if it was a long bed. I would say every one of the dealers I checked near me had atleast 3 or 4 long beds in stock. I'm located in Northern Colorado. Ironically the closest dealer (in Boulder) had the EXACT truck I wanted in stock, it had no pics online and was in their back lot for weeks: Cement Double Cab Long Bed TRD Off-Road w/ tech package, premium package and not a single additional option.

Your dealer may not be looking beyond a 500 mile range. Two weeks ago there was a white 2018 TRD Off Road long bed in South Dakota, my dealer here in Kansas was going to bring it down for me but it had some minor hail damage. I bought the only other white long bed Off Road in this region.

Thanks again guys. Yeah, a bunch of long beds now! However, I have had a dose of reality. Measured the garage. We'd have to slip through the back seat to get to the other side of the garage once it was parked in it: Couldn't squeeze around the front or back. My wife, ReichsFuhrer Robin, issued her summary judgement and directed verdict against, using the same dismissive tone she has used for 37 years. No appeals will be considered, and any additional discussion of the matter will only lead to further curtailment of the most basic of Mazlow's hierarchy of needs.

So I am back to the standard bed. These dealers with their $900 paint protection plans and $399 "Theft"...whatever THAT is, are about to get on my last nerve. The internet price is not the price. Nothing said on the stock numbers ad page on the net about the un-needed value-added products that the dealer made the decision to put on there for you. Whether you wanted it or not. Paint protection? ME. I can handle a Porter Cable as good as most, and as far as theft protection, that's pretty much me too. I live in a gated retirement community with no crime. The only gangs that terrorize us are the AARP and the Men's Golf Association. So I'm fairly sure I don't need $399 of their "Theft" protection. Rant over. As you were...

Made a counter-offer on a 2018 TRD Sport 4x4 in grey. Hope to drive it home tomorrow. Questions: I don't see anywhere where it says you can't have the $1500 factory incentive AND the 0% for 48 months. Would like to have the goods on them: anyone know what dealer cost is on a '18 TRD Sport 4x4 automatic with predator tube steps? Please direct me to the 2018 dealer cost list by model and option code. THANKS! You guys are great. Already specing an ARE Z-series bed cap for it.

In Socal dealership told me ratio is 2 out of 10 Tacomas are long beds. Seems about right when I looked this summer.

My experience was that the incentives were one or the other. (i.e. you can't have both) I was frustrated by this as this wasn't clear prior to starting the negotiation process. Probably my fault for not asking enough questions. I ended up getting $1200 of the $1500 incentive in other ways by pushing them. Whether that's through accessories or simply pushing the price of the vehicle down is up to you, but it's possible to get that money back IMO.

Devil's in the details. Fine print says you can't combine offers, unfortunately. I'd say go with the cash back, as I believe you can get 2-3% APR. Paying it off within 48 months, you should be better off going with the cash back.

Is $37,565 drive-out a good price? Think there is more money on the table I can get? Just has the predator step. Sport 4x4 with no other options.

Update: A moot point now. It sits in my driveway. Thanks again everyone! Onward, thru the fog...
