I finished installing 5100s with OME 884s tonight and got about 3.5” of lift.. was aiming more for 2-2.25” but this is a bit surprising. It’s an 05 access cab so all I can think is that it settled an inch in 13 years. Here are my measurements from wheel/hub center to fender. The rear AAL hasn’t arrived yet.

    LF Before: 20” After 23 3/4” (includes 1/4” spacer)

    LR Before: 22”

    RF Before: 20 1/4” After 23 3/4”

    RR Before: 22 1/4”

UCA touches the coil on full drop just slightly.

Hoping it will settle a little bit.

Here are the old coil overs for comparison.

Looking at the OME expected heights thread, the distance between the fender and hub at 24" seems about right for what people were getting.

That’s what I’m thinking. Maybe mine was lower to begin with. I’ll check that thread out

Same thing happened with mine but I used 885 springs. I ended up with around 4" lift. My factory springs were worn and my truck sat lower than most.

Seems about right to me too, lifted 2.5 inches over factory new height. Lots of V8 4runner guys were claiming "5 inch" lift after putting 885's on 5100s but it's really only 3" plus 2" from the saggiest measurement to the a fresh spring measurement.

I also think that taking it for a ride around the block will help things settle a bit. I was blocked in last night when I finished so I’ll be able to take it for spin in a few hours and see if that makes any difference. Also, the rear hasn’t been lifted yet so once the leafs come in that should make some difference.

Took for a spin around the block and it settled 1.25” to 2.5” inch lift. I jacked up the front end and the UCAs are still hitting however. As long as it can align I’m happy. Got a little bro lean till the AAL arrives.
