Anyone have oil drips after their oil change.
Had my 10000 mile service almost two weeks ago on Saturday.
Tuesday I notice a burning smell look under the truck and see obvious signs of oil leaking. Back to the dealer on Wed. They said it was a cracked oil filter housing.
Checked under the truck Friday. And see drips hanging under the truck.
Back to the dealer last Saturday. They say it was a nick in the oil filter gasket.
Checked again today and there are drips AGAIN!

I can't see where it coming from. The drips hang on a part that looks like a cup under the oil filter.

    Start changing your own oil.

Or at the very least find another dealer and report this to Toyota. These are rookie mistakes.

Get a new filter and the metal housing. Replace those yourself and clean the area up well, as stated above brake clean will be ideal. If it still leaks go to a different dealer and see what they can do for you.

Change your own oil. Get a case of brake clean on sale and use it to clean the residue off when you change your own oil.

Hopefully not a timing cover leak and just a simple filter housing leak, some pics of the leak as mentioned above would be nice.
