Thanks, it’s looking like 2.8 or 2.85 plus fuel pump for sure. Will a different intake & exhaust be worth it over the TRD setups?

Do you EVER go to lower altitudes with the truck? If not you can get by with a 2.7 pulley.
At lower altitudes and the 2.7 it gets dangerously close to maxing out the injectors.

Your intake is fine. You could gain some power with a 3" exhaust but I havent done a back to back comparison. I have someone with a TRD exhaust getting one of my y-pipes (when I build it). Hopefully he will review it with the TRD setup. I'm curious as well.
@5thGearPinned had my y-pipe and a 3" exhaust for a couple weeks (with stock exhaust manifolds) and I think he really liked it. He had already bought headers and a bunch of other stuff which we installed a couple weeks later. That's why he only had that setup for a few weeks.

Great info, thanks captain. This truck has never been below 4000 ft elevation and I don’t see going down there in the future. Any other downsides to spinning the blower faster besides needing to service it a little sooner than the standard 100k?

I did a 2.825 I think.... (the red anodized one) the intake definitly will help in my opinion. The afe Pro Dry S is the one of choice. I had the trd exhaust and had a ton of rasp with my blower. That being just a 2&1/2” , once I switched to a 3” exhaust it opened it up nicely. I also added a urd y-pipe too...

See there you go getting me thinking of going deeper doem the rabbit hole, next thing you know I’ll be looking at Kings :annoyed:

Srsly though thanks, very valuable input there. Seems like the 2.8-2.85 pulleys are the gateway drug for everyone...

I would go 2.7 then for sure.
You could still drive fine at lower elevation but you would just have to be careful and not floor it.
Regardless you should have afr gauge(s) and you could use that to make sure you dont go lean.

I put a 2.8” pulley on before the blower was ever installed. So I have no comparison between 3.0” and 2.8”. But I still say go straight for 2.5”.

    Here’s your shopping list.

    2.5” pulley
    Fuel pump upgrade
    UCON
    61lb injectors
    Injector adapter harnesses
    URD headers
    @Roostfactor Y-pipe
    3” exhaust
    Vibrant 1142 resonator
    Magnaflow 3” cat
    AFe pro dry S intake

There. Now you’ve spent more on supporting mods than than the cost of the supercharger. And you no longer have scoliosis since the pocket you carry your wallet in is so much lighter. :D

Took some video sound clips for y'all early this morning. Have to do some family stuff here in a bit, so it may be afternoon before I can edit them all together and get a video uploaded.

I did a UCON log for the first time in a while, too.

    IAT 86.7 degrees
    Max MAF was only 285.5 g/s @ 5515 RPM, 63 MPH in 2nd gear
Commanded AFR 11.6, actual AFR 11.6 (UCON is doing pretty good controlling AFR)
    61 lb injectors @ 62.2% duty cycle
    7th injector @ 33.9% duty cycle

Not the best I've seen and a bit disappointing. It moved 340 g/s back when I had stock injectors. But they were running at 95% duty cycle @ 5705 RPM and the commanded AFR was 11.6 and actual was 12.5. So it was a bit lean, since the injectors were maxed out. Also that was at 40 degrees.

It shifted 5700 before and now only 5500. But that was before I had the IPT transmission. I think the stock trans slips a lot more than the IPT, so that may explain some of the difference. Anyways, the truck runs great and feels pretty quick despite all the heavy crap hanging off of it. So no complaints!

I’m thinking if I put a 4 gallon ice tank in the bed I should probably get another pump to help move the fluid. Don’t wanna over do the one pump. What everyone think?

Just had another thought. Anyone ever put a iat sensor in the supercharger post cooler to relocate from maf sensor. Feel like it would work great for running meth or icebox or anything like that so the truck knows the exact air temp actually going in the motor

If u use a iat sensor tho just reads temp. Tubulance shouldn’t be a problem I wouldn’t think? If the maf sensor stays where it is. Reading air.

Speaking of turbulence, just watched a show where they upped the boost and airflow on a 911. Inlet air tube was internally dimpled like a golf ball to increase turbulence. Seemed counterintuitive to me.

It's not to increase turbulence, it's to reduce the surface tension or in other words make the boundary layer smaller between the non moving air at the surface and the high speed air at the center.

Airflow in a tube is highest in the center and gets slower toward the edge. There is almost zero flow at the surface. The dimpled tubing is supposed to reduce the friction at the edge thereby increasing airspeed in that area.

Could be a great idea! I guess you would have to disconnect the air temp sensing wires from the maf and attach to the new iats.
No idea how resistant it would be to oil or meth in the plenum.
Also dont know how the ecu would respond to the quick temp change when meth comes on.
