If I do buy something American, I’d probably wind up with the new Bronco in 2020. I saw pics of it yesterday, and man it looks good. But only if it has a V8. It’s too big for a 6 IMHO. plus luckily I get the Z-plan thru ford because my grandfather retired from ford. Therefore I get REAL employee pricing.

You’re 6 ft and it feels “tight”.
    We’re missing information.
    How much do you weigh?
Can you fully adjust your seat?

I know everyone is shaped different but saying the cab is tight has got to be perspective based on what they’re coming from.
My pops is 6’3” and about 4 bills. I can tell you, it’s tight for him when he gets in my truck.
    I’m 6’1” and about 215. I wouldn’t say it’s tight at all.

Yeah I was gonna say flexibility and other things factor into comfort. I'm about your size and I feel fine in the Taco, but I'm also young and I have great mobility even for my age. I think it's kind of sad people are calling this person out as if everyone should be able to fully determine a vehicle's comfort in those short test drives the dealers use to get you high before you buy. I've had seats that aren't a problem for the first two hours, but after that my back starts killing and I'm pretty sure ain't no dealer going to let me take a 100 mile test drive.

If nobody buys a damn American truck there won't be any American trucks. The fact of the matter is that there aren't many good American engineers and we have to import so much of our expertise from the rest of the world. Maybe if some of the mongoloids quit dogging on OP and hit the damn books we could have some high quality American products that would make us proud.

Maybe you could hit the books instead of posting paragraphs on forums.
Get yourself an American truck too.

At 400lbs(4 bills), I don’t think the Tacoma is the problem.

Venerable GM transmission shot at 300k miles.

I have never had a problem with Toyota transmissions, in over 2 million miles of driving.

I would have purchased a Canyon with Duramax, but for concerns about modern diesel emission equipment mandates, knowing I need mega durability.

I carefully selected my current vehicle.

It is hoped your Sierra works out well.

Nice looking ride. If someone offered a full size truck with a manual transmission, I might upgrade. For now I drive my 6 speed 05 with 235,000 miles. Just started looking at new Tacomas.
Best of luck with your new ride.

Using a website to make a point about quality when said website lists your own vehicle as a manufacturer’s worst one is a bold strategy...

Enjoy the new truck, OP. The GMCs are very good-looking and that price is great. Wish you the best of luck.

It's great when people blame a vehicle for not doing their due diligence before even purchasing it, im 6'4 and cant fit in it, the transmission sucks, the steering wheel don't telescope enough, aren't these things you would notice the first time you get into a truck and test drive it?

Sometimes it takes more than a few 30 min test drives to really get to know the truck. Like lots of people here says the tranny gets better on these trucks after miles but my experience has been opposite that the longer I had the Tacoma the worse the transmission and motor shifting and power feel. The more irritating it gets over time so that’s why you see a lot of complaints on this forum about the Tacoma and people trading them in. Go look at other Toyota forums I don’t see nearly as many complaints like 4Runner and tundra people seem to love those vehicles. Tacoma forum here Is full of people complaining and the others trying to defend the truck.
