    • Option 3 & 4 are our best options, Archive Speed bumps are 100% designed by us for 1) soft engagement, 2) more bump travel, 3) no center hole to fill up with water, 4) with tough 3/8" SS bumpstop hold-down screws, and 5) slows weight down over more distance for more progressive feel. (note: yellow color fades to amber over time).
    Notes:
    1. Properly designed for best clamping and bumpstop performance
    2. Strengthening bends, plate is 3/8" HSLA 50,000psi (30% stronger)
    3. Also now have a version available for 3.5" diameter axle tubes!
    4. Specifically designed for the Tacoma 60mm springs, the plates have holes, not long slots, and help keep leaves in alignment, unlike many brands.

Have any customers bought the option 5 flip kit for air bumps, and if so what air bump mount are they using to line up with your plates? Would The standard Total Chaos bump stop kit work with your bump stop plates?

Are U bolt flip kits primarily for increased ground clearance, aka having less hang down from the axle?

Awesome. Thanks for the quick response!

Unfortunately it'll be a little bit before I buy a complete setup since I plan to get your SUA kit. Still saving up to do everything at once. I may buy your hammer hangars soon though since I can still run those at stock height.

Hammer hangers are on sale now. I feel like they do more for ride than air bumps. I'm not convinced that air bumps are worth the cost on midtravel

Hey @ARCHIVE - KILLER products, you have an incredibly nice set of really well thought out products.

I'm interested in your U-bolt flip kit & bump stop platform with pedestals (Option 4 most likely) but have a question. With Icon RXTs (setup with Option 1 - 1.875" lift without weight), no hangers yet / stock shackles, and extended length Fox 2.0 rears, is your Option 4 with the Wheeler's Super bumps enough height in the bump stop? Or will I need more of a spacer under the bump stop? I'm not really sure how much the Super Bumps compress.

Shock: Fox 2.0 rears, 3.5-5" lift part #985-26-118
    Extended Length: 24.8"
    Collapsed Length: 15.2"
    Travel: 9.6"

I'll email you separately and was going to ask you this question in that email, but I can point others to this thread this way. I know some people aren't running extended bump stops after increasing their suspension travel (in particular droop). Hope this post helps the community.

@ARCHIVE I may have just figured this out. Per THIS POST on this site that I somehow missed in all my searching before, it sounds like to really get this correct I need to:

    1. Install the springs and shocks, drive a tad so it will settle.
    2. At rest/static load and on a flat surface, measure from the bump stop pad (surface where the bump stop will bolt to) up to the frame contact point. Call this measurement 'A'.
    3. Measure how much exposed shaft remains on the shock. Call this measurement 'B'.
    4. Subtract B from A. This tells me how big of a bump stop is required at full compression.

So if for example A - B = 1.750" and I was looking a bump stop that compressed to 1.5" max, I'd need to space the bump stop up by a minimum of 1/4" (0.250"). My assumption is a 3/8" (0.375") spacer would probably be smarter in that example.

Is this correct? And if so... sounds like your pedestals will work just fine and I may/may not need to run a bump stop spacer?

Thanks Ted! Fortunately I know the answer, my Ubolt flip with option #4 pedastal with Super bumps, can handle shocks up to 16" compressed. You'll have a little extra room with 15.2" compressed

I run Bilstein 5160 shocks and will be installing Icon RXT leafs soon. It was suggested on another thread by @*TRD* to run a 1 inch spacer with bumpstops for that shock. The compressed length is 14.22".
    *********************
I'd recommend running a u-bolt flip kit and 1" bump stop spacer with those.
Stock collapsed length is ~ 13.760"
With the bump stop spacer run a shock with a collapsed length of 14.760" or less

This matches up with a Fox-985-24-117
You'll gain ~1" of up travel, and ~1.5" of droop
    **********************
Can you provide a one inch spacer with your Option 4 kit?

Spacer is not needed, that is true with the B110 shocks ~16.5 compressed, but not the 5160 shorties, plus the pedastal gives you some extra room.

Hmm. I was under the impression that the shorter shock would bottom out during uptravel before hitting the bump possibly causing damage to it. Not the case? Sorry want to iron all this out before buying and installing.

That's opposite, longer shocks have the bottoming issue. 5160 is very close to stock length, there will be no issue.
Bottoming out is when the shock is fully compressed.
Topping out is when the shock is fully extended
