    I told him I'm :jellydance:

If I wanted a SXS, I would build an extended cab Tacoma, SAS'd, exo cage etc.

It wasn’t so much the needing help as it is the need for new lower control arms. The bolts are seized solid in the sleeves. 1200 ft-lbs on the impact wasn’t enough to get it to move a bit. Odds were that the bolt was going to break before it came out of the arm. Sawzall and a new arm and it’s done

Any plans to take apart leaf packs and flap disc/sand blast and repaint?

Good work tho, love those greasable bolts. May have to look into them.

Meh maybe. I will see how it goes. They're just such a pain in the ass to move etc. I would have to make sure I have hardware ahead of time because they would likely snap. Speaking of, snapped an LCA skid bolt today that was more rust than bolt.

Maybe the powdercoater will help me with them? :notsure:

Definitely recommend them brother. Peace of mind and now my front and rear bushings are completely greasable. Worth it IMHO.

looks like they are all set. yeah i used the bottle jack from my truck. put it between the arms of the LCA, jacked it until there was some decent pressure on the bushing. add some torch heat for a few mins and slowly screw the jack until the bushings slide out. 10 mins per LCA including setup.

No worries, thanks for doing that! Are you still liking it? I definitely like the sound of it. As far as installation goes, was it the same input and output diameter and location as the stock muffler? Or did you have to re-route the stock piping to fit it in? Thanks again!

Definitely still liking it a lot!

It's a 2.25" diameter pipe which is what the stock piping is also. Same mounting location as the stock muffler too. Here is a pic and the model and inlet/outlet information is below that.

Flowmaster 842452 50 series Delta flow 2.25" center inlet/2.25" offset outlet.

    Hope that helps!!

Good thing I started my checklist a little early.

Fixed a leaking remote air chuck on the rear bumper. Took longer than I hoped, but it's fixed and working.

Aired up all my tires another 5 psi all around and went for a test drive. Such an easy thing to over look. Rides much better now.

Unfortunately, looks like I have some wiring to fix next weekend before the wheeling trip in two weeks. Much like the fog light a few weeks back, I have some corrosion. I checked the fuses and they are not the issue.

    - 40" Heretic
    - rear roof rack Sasquatch lights
    - winch

Just to name a few. Funny thing is that other items on that same, lower IGGY panel work such as the inverter. IT ALWAYS SOMETHING!

Guess who just spent $40 for UPS 2 day shipping?

    :spending::spending::spending:

    This guy.

Got home from work and took a look at the the 40" roof rack bar. Rewired the positive connection as it looked to be faulty and cleaned and relocated the ground directly to the battery (for testing) and nothing worked. Traced the wiring back from the battery to the bar and found this:

    D4993DF1-957A-4C94-B9E8-36D6768D8789.jpg

Went to the garage and grabbed a new, spare relay to test and no dice. The bar still won't turn on.

My guess is that, much like the fog lights from a few weeks back, the corrosion got so bad and caused bad connections.

I hope that's it. Plan is to work on this issue and install a roof rack on a buddy's Tacoma Saturday.

    :fingerscrossed:

Thanks man. Glad I checked as early as I did for this exact reason. If I need to order something or run to the store, I can and not be in a rush or scrambling to fix it.

My brother offered to help Saturday and I hope to get everything working again.

Not bad at all. I think that any "drone", as minimal as it is, is because the exhaust is dumped over the axle and not behind the rear passenger tire. Plus, the snorkel might add a little throaty-ness to it. The day after it was installed, I made a 2 hour round trip on the highway to a buddy's house and didn't even notice it was there.

You can tell from the video, because I did a 2k, 3500k and 4500-5k rev in the video, that it is a bit loud due to the feed back into the microphone. I am chalking that up to (1) the dump over the axle and (2) sound reverberations off of no less than 8 surfaces. For the most part, the video accurately depicts the tone and sound 93%.

@geekhouse23 I put in BD Sports in the fog pockets (the older, less bright ones) and unless it is a foggy winter day, I never run them on the street, def not at night. I can only imagine how bright the new ones are. I'd go wide cornering regardless.

I also added a pair of Pros as a replacement for a lightbar I had to remove to mount a winch, and the mix of the sports and pros make a perfect combo. Except now I'm thinking of Pros in the fogs because ALL THE LUMENS!

Troof. I purchased an extra one just in case we cut this one up and it still doesn't work. I am hoping that maybe we can bypass it completely to avoid it from happening again. I am guessing that is the cause of the issue, though. That was the case with my fogs too. Cut out the "rot" and make a new harness.

On the agenda this week still is to check both deutsch connectors for the landing lights and the roof rack bar. When I fixed the fog light that wasn't working, the connectors for the fogs and the stock foglight harness had build up too. My guess is those might be corroded also and is an easy fix to cut them out and use my new waterproof solder connector set.

Might be saving some pennies for switch pros when I go dual batteries eventually. Going to need to sell more patches :playball:

A lot of truth to this. Only light that comes to mind is the bigger ONX6 lights from BD which has an amp draw in the low 20s I think. I mainly got one because it allowed me to clean up the rat's nest of relays from the days before I knew better, as well as making adding new lights a 10 minute affair wiring wise. I also was fortunate enough to snag one of the last XPOTRPR mounts, so it makes it look nice and clean in the cab, which is a huge deal for me. (yes, the mic is now mounted on a clamp).
