It's been awhile since I provided an update.... As of today I still do not have my truck back and the total damage is now at $10K. Since my last update they discovered that the impact from the collision pushed the left front tire back so hard that it bent the steering arm/knuckle which had to be replaced. When the body shop was done they took it to the dealer to have all the sensors, etc., checked/reset/etc., and it was there they discovered the ABS Actuator was bad... I just have to keep reminding myself that it's only a "thing" and nobody was hurt.

Sorry this happened, but you have the right line of thinking. Nobody was hurt, all that matters.

That is why I added this! The 2014 I had with 2600 miles got totaled. So I plan to let the other guy or gal total theirs. Glad no one was hurt. Way to many morons on the road.

    And another update...

The body shop just called and said the dealership installed the new ABS Actuator but they still cannot clear the error codes and have now had to escalate this to Toyota Corporate. There is no ETA on when I will get my truck back :(

Yikes. Sucks dude. This was me last week, $9000k worth of damage and it’s at the best body shop in the area, I was told expected completion date was the 28th.

I’m in GA, so we have a diminished value automatically, so insurance company already sent me the paperwork.

Hoping your truck get back to new!

Glad nobody was hurt but I can't get over the repair costs on these trucks. Amazing.

Apparently this is why our insurance rates on Tacoma’s are slightly high. I saw the breakdown and OEM parts take 75% of that $9k, the paint and labor weren’t really that bad considering

Annnnnnd....She’s back! The engineers at Toyota corporate were able to resolve the error codes issue. It’s like the accident never happened.
