Plasti Dipped the Toyota badge black. I think it looks pretty tough with the lightbar and roof rack. What bothers me is that the pass side fog light I replaced now makes the DS one look like shit.

 

Damn rattle was driving me crazy

 

Did a little blood transfusion today on the taco! Installed a fumoto valve and then filled her up with gas, today was a good day

 

Did the 85,000 oil change today. I can not believe this truck is 5 years old already geez.

 

CarPlay is worth it. Yes will be able to hook up the backup camera.

 

I got mine from someone in Chino, CA. I’m sure they got it from China, lol.

 

What paint did you use on the engine cover and is it holding up well? It looks great!

 

Also a house divided but only after jumping ship to a pixel then pixel 2 about a year ago.

I just doing pair my phone with her car and she doesn't pair hers with my car .

Thanks, I used the Krylon spray can Duo for plastic and metal. I did not prime it. It has been on there for almost four and a half years now.

 

Krylon Fusion I believe. Don’t waste your money on the new version of it as it sucks really bad.

 

YUP Thanks for the correction, 10-4 I have not used any of it since I sprayed my engine cover.

 

New skinny tires and finished up all the pre winter service I needed to get done: t case, diffs, trans, oil. Now just needs a bath.

 

Had bolted these on earlier this year, just got around to drilling the last of the frame bolt holes today. Wow, went through 4 carbide bits and a few curse words. But they aren't going anywhere now. Check out that paint on the Tacoma, like glass. Heading out to Moab in 5 days.

 

Couldn’t use my led pods for their intended purpose so I put them up front.

 

Installed my new SickSpeed shifter ball. I filed down the jam nut to about 1/8" thick and took off 2 of the 6 corners on the nut so it feels better in my hand. Really like the feel and look of it.

 

Was having some light vibes at the gas pedal that were new and getting worse. Looks like the driveshaft zerks haven't had any grease in the 40k on the truck, and I haven't been super nice in the last 30k. I learned about the zerks and where they all were thanks to TW (even though I should have added them to the big service 10k ago )! Greased all 5 and boom, smooth as....uh, grease? Honestly impressed it actually worked so well.

Along with grease in the UCA zerks, oil and filter, clean and oil the K&N filter, clean cabin filter, torqueing a bunch of suspension bolts, torqueing skid and sliders, and added a BPF front recovery point. All just in time for the first "snow."
