Got everything drawn up. Time to head over and buy supplies so I can start first thing in the morning.

    Mdf board?
Your putting this where the rear seats used to be?

8” I thing is a good size, I used to have a 12” in my cruder before and it was overkill. Eventually I’ll get a slim one that has a built in amp and will go under the seat.

    What haven’t I changed?
Wouldn't the port be too big with that design?

Edit: Nevermind. Looks like their port spec is rather generous at 8.5"x1.5"x26"

No? The port may be large, but all the changes in direction will make the air movement harder

Yeah I've been on other fourms checking out sub woofer boxes. They explained a lot about the different sounds to expect with the different sizes of of boxes. This is one of the those things that is going to be an trial and error experiment on the box design and size. I did make my box slightly bigger then the specs on JL webpage and the port is a lot bigger. I can always build another box if I don't like the sound quality.

Finally got the vinyl flooring, back doors with MLV and some side panels in. I also coated the sub box with flex seal because I didn’t want to use carpet due to how much dust and dirt gets in the truck from work. Im hoping it cleans easy.

All that fancy suspension, you're gonna need the power to get you to the speeds where it works best.

Funny thing about good off-road suspension, it usually sucks when you're going slow.

Quick little update. Audio system is pretty nice. Sounds great so far. The sub box is working out good for now. Car toys told me to give it a month to allow the new speakers to break in and they should sound a whole lot better. I was like, better then this? Well it sounds great now. The sub hits hard but the tech said the box can be rebuilt to get a deeper bass sound. I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far.

Pulled the injectors to send them out to be rebuilt and cleaned. Saw that my # 5 was leaking. Tested the ohms. Five of them where at 13.2 and one at 13.1. Unsure if that’s good enough. Book says it’s supposed to be 13.8 at least. Thoughts?

HAHAHA! yes. New supper I work for doesn't like to work during the winter and only been given me 3 to 4 days a week. Hopefully we can hit the ground running this year. So I can get this truck done once and for all.

Sounds like they're all identical. Doubt they're all identically bad (ohms wise anyway)
Probably just the calibration of your tester.
