If so I doubt they have network capabilities. My heart goes out to them. I dont know why the city did not open both sides of the roadways for escape, as I heard a few stories of people who were trying to get out were just sitting in traffic about to run out of gas. So they turned around and went home to hope for the best:mad::(

I live in Panama City beach on the west end, very little damage (I say little because of the extent and compared to the rest). The east end has damage, Panama City looks like a war zone and Mexico beach got leveled. Here-say from a good friend was told by national guards patroling the neighborhoods sounds like the body count will be high.

Verizon is completely down, at&t seems to work ok. I’ve been without power for going on 4 days. Water was on but got shut off last night and now back on tonight. Panama City will take a month/s to just get power restored or rebuilt actually. No telling how long it will be to rebuild Mexico beach

There really is only a few ways to leave these areas, 1 or 2 ways out. And even though there was warnings they weren’t expecting a cat4 (really only a hair below cat5) to land.

Hope you and any family are doing ok.
This hurricane was a nuclear bomb! Such high winds and in addition moving so fast which also brings in a big tidal surge.
News yesterday was saying over 1 million without electricity no doubt.
Anyone who tried to ride that storm out as you mentioned, didn’t make it.
I have seen lots of pictures and video, really just horrible.
I have lived most of my life on the Gulf Coast of Texas, seen decades worth of hurricanes.
Suffered through one of the worst floods from hurricane Harvey, I was in one if the worst communities hit, luckily house was ok.
Hurricane Ike was bad but nothing like what has happened from Michael.
    Pretty heart breaking.
    Be safe!

Sad to see MB and TAFB. When they said it was going to hit between MB and PCB, I knew there was going to be at least one loser in the deal.

The real litmus test for PCB is whether or not Ms. Newby's and the Waffle House are open for business. (I'll bet they both are)

Fond memories of the Redneck Rivera. Best wishes to you guys and gals..

I lived just north of Quail roost and it was absolute destruction that day and to this day there is still houses that have yet to be rebuilt in some areas. Too this day I think back all the time that I could not be here when I see the damage from these storms and what goes on live from the media coverage.....

I’m not sure of Ms newbys, I haven’t even tried going down front beach. I heard they had a bunch of trees and lines down. I’ve only been down Thomas dr. And lines are everywhere, trees rooted, building damage, steel billboards Taco’d

Waffle House at 79/98 was open
