I only see the speed limit on my instrument panel displayed when I have the compass showing. I've never seen it anywhere else that I can remember.

Same here when it actually worked. I have my compass screen up, but no speed limit

On your gps screen, there is an "i" in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Press the "i"" until speed limit is displayed.
