anybody know what the exact type of fog light (without the black frame thing) that the trd pro has? I’m wanting to cut the top section and see if I can mount and wire in another fog light right on top of the stock one. Any info is appreciated!!1A2279AD-D598-426C-8F01-3C7EF526F3BC.jpg

That’s the size, but with the SAE fog lens.

The Toyota part number is PT228-35170-AA and AB, these would come with the Toyota mount on them though also.
The existing mount would be in your way. You would have to rig up a mount for the new light and the existing one, no room with the mount and adjustment mechanism above the existing light.

Anyone ever figure this mod out? Two sets of TRD Pro fog lights in the stock location?

I have a 2018 TRD Pro and have thought it would be pretty nice to have 4 fogs (2 pair). I know there are brighter options out there per this thread, but was looking for something a bit different.

    Interesting... Thank you for this.

I know the mount for the stock Rigid light goes UP behind the cavity, so would make mounting 2 of these in that spot really difficult. It just seems like that bezel is screaming for a 2nd light in there...

Would any of you guys know if the TRD pro 3rd gen rigid fogs would fit a 2nd gen? I like them a lot and would most likely swap out my Baja designs for them.

Get someone to laser measure, draw and 3D the view/fit...then get it printed. Remove the DD advertisement.

If I had to guess (guess is the keyword), the fogs themselves would bolt right up. My logic: 2012 fogs are same as 3rd gens and I would NOT think Toyota would change the mounting location just for the TRD Pro - the bumpers are identical.

What I don't think would fit, however, is the bezel. If you're chasing the look more than the functionality (i.e., and want the lights + bezel), I'm not sure if that bezel will work. My guess (again... keyword) is no.

That said, I think the TRD Pro lights would be a downgrade in light output for you. I'm sure you've seen it, but look at this thread for more.

Yeah I know it’s less light. I really like the look and am ok with the output of the pros. I really am curious if they will both fit

Got it. Likewise. I am usually a form follows function kinda guy, but on some things I trend more function follows form!

BTW - every time you post a pic of your Baja, I drool. Great looking rig sir

Why would you get rid of the Baja designs one? They are far superior to the rigid.

They are and I’m aware. I just like the look of the TRD pro rigid lights. The light output from what I’ve seen on the pros I’m ok with.

    this and that...
the shroud almost alludes to that it was supposed to be a dual foglight setup, or atleast another set of lights there. why would the top just be blank like that. always though the cover did look a bit...unorthodox.

It still bothers me that “Rigid Industries” appears in print on a Toyota Tacoma. Nothing against Rigid; but I don’t want it written on a new Tacoma. It looks “modded”.

I love how small of a footprint the stock Rigid light has and that bezel looked really odd to me when I first saw it. You start to not notice it the more you see it, but clearly I agree with you :D
