3RD GEN MGM PAINT FIX WITH DUPLICOLOR RATTLE CANS...

Well i fucked up... hit a low pole in a parking lot and my paint chipped big time! i am attempting to sand paint and clear coat with dupli color products. i will pos pictures as this progress. at the end i will update and list everything i did and got with times and pricing. hope it works! fyi i was quoted $500 to fix the bumper (just paint).

 

forgot to take a pic of the original damage.... here it is taped with the first coat of primer after sanding...

if it doesnt come out all that nice i will more than likely speed up the process in which i get my CBI T3 bumper. =)

 

Shake the living hell out of the can and do light coats , I painted the front top of my tundra bumper after it got chipped up good came out good

 

I’m sure you can sell this bumper as is too. It’s still solid. I’m sure someone could make use of it. I personally like the T3 and the Honeybadger by ADD

 

CRAP... forgot to take a picture of primer #2 and #3... well i sanded with 800g and cleaned with denatured alcohol. heres coat #1 of color...

materials are inexpensive! all in all i spent $50 on this job.

 

here it is!!! came out a solid 8. you cant tell until you're 6inches away and looking for it in perfect lighting to find scratches.

Looks good! What materials did you need to do this? Primer, sand paper, clear coat, etc.

 

I used 600-1000grit sand paper, dupli-color primer and paint, and finished with clear coat!
