    Hello folks!

I have a ‘15 DCSB 4WD O/R with the Entune “Audio Plus” stereo, model #50140. I have 520 songs in my computer. From 60s rock to 90s rap and a few newer songs. Since this truck has the USB port I copied my songs from the computer to my usb. I notice that some of my songs play louder and clearer than others. I would like for them all to play at the same level. Most of these somgs were obtained via the “youtube to mp3” converter that I have. The rest are from old cd’s that I don’t even have anymore.

Anyone know how I can remedy this?
Is there a website I can go to that equalizes all the songs?
Or is there a music source where I can download these same songs from at a better, even quality?

I also have a new Ipod Nano, still in its box. Do our Entune radios play better with an Ipod vs a USB?

    Thank you,
    Petros

I'm not sure if this is a troll post or not... Your mileage is going to vary; I've used adobe software to adjust volume, but I don't know of anything automated that is actually going to be able to adjust them all to your liking. You're probably going to lose a lot of audio quality by pulling tracks off their videos considering they transform the files you upload to the format they like. Video, audio, and pictures are all encoded so you can't really improve the quality of the files once you take it out...

If you want higher quality audio files you should buy the damn things and support the artists.

No. This is not a troll post, don’t know why you’d think that and thank you for the advice.

Pretty sure you'll have to adjust for each song. It all depends on the original mix, the source recording, formatting etc...

I don't know if the iPod Nano has this feature, but my iPod Video (aka 5th Gen, I think) has a setting called "Sound Check" which is supposed to normalize the output volume. It seemed like it does this by lowering the output volume of songs that are mixed to a higher output level. This setting might be able to help with your issue.

Ok working off assumption you own the originals and ripped them volume is going to vary greatly based on source quality encoding quality and other factors. Normalize equalize etc make the sound in my opinion terrible.

Rerip from original source in a high quality format but yeah still gonna have to adjust because not every mixer album or track are the same .

EDIT missed where you said ripped with YouTube to mp3. That's why they are such varying quality. Get original sources and do it right.

I'll agree with you there. I disabled this feature on my ipod and live with it, but just brought it up as an option that might work for them.

You can batch process a limiter or compressor using Audacity. There is other software out there, but Audacity is free. You'll need some processing power for batches, but it's an option.
