Putting a 3in lift with 255/85r16 tires on a 2018. Has anyone lifted an 18 and noticed major troubles with the TSS sensors? My dealership said there would be issues but I've heard whispers of it not being a big deal and that you can maybe even get them recalibrated after lifting? I have most of them turned off anyway, but the big one I was worried about was it affecting my cruise control on the highway that goes with the flow of traffic.

Lots of lifted 18s without issues. Might have to re calibrate the sensor after.

Do you just take it to the dealer to recalibrate or is there something you buy to do it yourself? I haven’t researched this much

My feeling is that even though there might not appear to be any issues, there may actually be issues. You'd be changing the geometry of the sensors, and that may affect how effective the system is; specifically the pre-collision sensor. You wouldn't know there was an issue until you've inserted your front bumper into the trunk of the car in front of you.

Just test it out with a cardboard box.

I was going to do that and had a suitable box. But chickened out because I didn’t want to risk cracking the new grille.

I just wanna be able to continue to use my cruise control in traffic. I dont care about the lane departure and all that jazz.

That's the most worthless feature of the system, in my opinion. Unless you like people continuously cutting in front of you because it leaves too much space between the car you (were originally) following.

I actually think the radar cruise is the MOST useful feature. Lane departure is annoying and precollision is finicky. I've already had two false alerts.
