I just think the situation is definitely a bit confusing. I wouldn’t imagine burning up the clutch that early is the OP’s fault, but the details are what make it seem a little sketchy.

Either way good that he got it fixed but I do wonder about the confidentiality deal. Obviously I was joking about the Toyota commando squad deal, but I know that if my dealership told me they were not gonna fix it, I wouldn’t be signing anything for something that was clearly a defect.

Just glad it is fixed. Now the next clutch is on you!!!

Maybe is signed the gag order for his lemon law claim. Nothing says they changed their mind to fix it.

Purposefully vague. My guess is that the clutch was repaired either by the dealer or a shop and the cost was covered under warranty as long as the non-disclosure was signed. If that is the case, it seems fair to me.

Wonder what comes up if you Google op's username. Doesn't look like any more info is coming up. Time to unsub

@shaner8r : As for failty clutches, it’s not always how it’s driven. The cause can also be due to a failed rear engine or front transmission oil seal. I rebuilt a old BMW once and the new clutch died after a few hundred miles too. It was just a small leak, totally dry on the outside of the clutch and transmission housing, but inside was covered with a thin coat of motor oil, as was the clutch. Did you see your tranny interior and was it dry? Maybe someone doesn’t want to replace a rear engine seal...

Generally speaking, you don’t say when you’ve signed an agreement. Said agreement would also already be non-binding as you’ve already posted your grievances publicly. Your name, username, and location are non-attributable as well.

Glad you allegedly got your clutch fixed, but this story smells funnier than a burned clutch.
