If your 3g is anything like the 2g, expect the light to blink and the sounds of all hell breakimg loose under your hood. The high and low speed abs pumps will let you know when you are slipping.

I haven’t driven my taco in snow for a couple years now, so I can’t remember how bad or good it was in the slick.

Couple bags of sand is a good start, or just let the bed fill with snow, same effect and self cleaning.

    Blissfully oblivious.

I just creep on people that post their call signs in the web. To see how far down the rabbit hole I can get.

It’s great in the snow.....it’s like anything vehicle, it’s all about speed and grip. 4x4 is great for getting going, but every vehicle is 4-wheel-braking. The ticket is going to be leaving sufficient stopping distance and some good winter tires. I just ordered my Blizzaks last week, can’t wait to slap them on.

Good to know. After spending 18 years driving old cars with no traction control and mostly rear wheel drive in the snow it will be a welcome change to drive something I dont need to power slide around just to keep up my speed to get over the next hill.

    Haha no you’ll be fine

Is this your first true 4x4? If it is, don’t forget that you’ve got to turn it off (back to 2WD) when you’re on dry pavement or you’ll bind up the transfer case.

I've had a 1992 sr5, and a 1990 4runner. My old 1988 bmw 325ix was awd, but setup like a truck with lsd rear and center diffs. Most of my old cars have been some form of 1980s bmw though.

I don't have much of a problem sharing it on this web forum. It's an old address anyways. The fun thing is seeing callsigns in public. I've always thought about if someone was road raging and you have the ham plates, they can go find your house. Did you check APRS too?

Nope I stay off aprs unless I’m on the trail so mom in law can make sure her grandkids are not bear food..... figured the rest of the normies in the world turned it off when in the city like me.

I’m the same way with call sign plates. Don’t want the nutbags on TC roads knowing where my old house is.

I honestly wish we could suppress the info like the Canadians can. So much junk mail after I was issued the license. Hell 99% of the time I use the HAM is at 2w to talk to folks I am out with. If I push the power and range it’s usually to locate folks, then I’ll use my call sign. I learned enough about plain text single channel two way communications, and how to make yourself hard to find, to not worry about the black helicopters coming to find me in the woods.

    KDsomethingsomethingsomethingsomething out.

I was thinking 3 x 24 of the pounder PBR or 2 x 24 of Spotted Cow (I know, ironic for the taco's in MN thread)

Those are going to be really hard to find as you got to modify the deck rails. I have a couple brand new in box access Lorado tonneau roll up covers I'd let go for $380. I believe I have a 5 and a 6 foot but they both might be 6 foot
