Electrical short in Aux AND lighter port?

Anyone else have troubles with intermittent power sent to aux port as well as cig lighter ports? Phone charging and connecting to phone is affected.

 

The fuse which runs to those ports may have a hairline fracture. Try replacing it and see what happens.

Take the tabs on the side of the charger and tweak them so they make a tighter contact on the barrel of the charging ports when you push them in.

Edit: your title says short.... Are you blowing fuses?

 

That USB port isn't really meant to charge anything. It's basically just data.
