Had a nice little day trip of wheelin' at Rush Off Road with Nick. I really like going down to ROR, it's an easy 2.5/3 hour drive and I can get my off road rocks off for a little while. Stuck to the Greens/Blues but managed to get ourselves into a couple spots.

    - I can't say enough about the truck. O.M.G. :headbang: It's everything and more. The way she sits and now with the locker. It been a little strange going from a 5 lug...to this thing. I can go places and do things now, I dunno how else to put it.

    - Almost a decade on TW, always been the one getting yanked through/out of something. Finally got to return the favor and make a couple recoveries myself!!!! Nick got stuck twice, made the recovery each time. First time went front end in into a water spot that was a biiittt to deep, pulled him back out of that. On the second, tried to take a hill and it was to slick, so we tried to go around, into what ended up being straight slop/soup and a fallen tree dead end. Backed up through the slop, took a left to a little cut through to get back to the trail we were on, adrenaline was up on my end, pretty soupy spot, no winch between us. Also when I got to the end of the little cut back and near the trail, I tried to take a line, a bad one that ended up sliding me down and to the left into a little spot/divot, adrenaline made it seem a bit worse than it was I think. Anyway...long way to get to this point...Cut through had a good little muddy/watery whoop in it to get up and over, Nick got caught up, mostly high centered I think but sliders were digging in a bit too. That little spot that had just slid me off, I had to back down it, manage not to get myself stuck and get him pulled up. I was personally a bit adrenaline-y, but all prevailed!!!! :headbang:.

    - 2nd gear. 4Lo. I really like this gear range/combo. If I go to 3rd, I usually find myself shifting back down to 2nd not long after. I like the control much more in 2nd than I do in 3rd, especially riding trails.

    - No complaints on the clutch so far. Honestly feels pretty good. Truck has definitely picked up some pep/life that it was missing before. Once around the block then wake up and go 3 hours/150 miles to wheel the next day is a typical break in I thought? o_O

    Um. Yeah. :sandwich:

You did great man! Just work on higher gear in 4lo and revving high to downshift when needed.

Also did very well recovering me. Dumb on my part to take the middle pond

I could hear it gurgling into the door seals!
Second time was a wheelbase/slider/need moar peddle/sloppy mess combo. That RC of yours is a woods riding machine!!

I had a blast fella! Be pretty easy to make that a semi regular thing to get in the kicks between the bigger meets. Now I wanna go back and hit some of the harder stuff we passed on. The #15, I think, you showed me, the really steep one. Hit that trail up, fo' sho'.

15 is the big one we all went out on Thursday and Friday at the big meet. I don't think you went out it Saturday.
Lots of up and lots of down. Where I started to go up it at the end of our run, was 15, about the 1/3 mark. Couldn't remember the line to take and ended up on slick rocks. That short drizzle didn't help us

Cleaned up a lot today. All exterior, didn't get to the inside. Sprayed like 50 pounds of mud off my truck from everywhere. Did a quick wash too, with soap and everything!

Changed out that passenger side upper ball joint boot and put the shift fork cover back on too. I forgot to put the shift boot back on, oops.

Going to start getting things ready for AOP. Headed out Thursday morning for a 9 hour drive!

2 weekends in a row of hitting some trails! AOP is one heck of a park, for me anyway. Their greens are blues at most other places. Kept out of places I didn't belong not having armor yet. Thier blues, sliders and full skids are a must.

Sliders, skids, gears and tuned rear shocks are the next topics I would like to take on. Truck is doing pretty well. Its seen 24 hours of highway time and probably 8 hours of trails the past 2 weeks.

I want to go out at least once more before the end of the year but don't know if I can swing it so soon again.

Would really like to get my wifey out with me. Hopefully my parents take the grandkiddos for a weekend before they jet to SC at the end of December.

Also. Harlan is like the last place I want to be on Halloween. Place gives me the heeby jeebies without the ghouls n goblins holiday, lol

I cant "like" this post enough! Brent you are a heck of photographer!

Top pic: Airing down lower in the middle of a trail. In sleeping pants. Yeah. Lolz. Cause I wear jeans all week at work. I had shorts on underneath for a quick change once it warmed up.
