sorry for the potential click bait folks.

My first post and I feel like my heads gonna burst with all the info on the amazing site.

Anyways, I just bought my first Taco a 2016 Double cab “long” box. In white.

I did the A/C mod (extending the hose) and the rear diff snorkel mod.

I have ordered a set of bfg 285/75 R16 wheels as based off the KD you tube videos these are as big as will fit without lifting the truck.

Next I ordered a set of the bronze trd beadlock rims in bronze that are bronze.

Now, here are a few questions I would really appreciate input on......

Why doesn’t anybody seem to like the limited? Is it because it doesn’t have a rear dif lock? Can one be installed?

Is it because it’s the Godless long box?

Seems like the only “Real” Taco is a trd off road short box

    Suggestions for next mod?

Thoughts on how the rims will look on the truck?

For reference, I do wanna take it off roading, not rock crawling or over landing, just basic 4x4ing for fun.

I apologize if the post seems a bit scattered but it’s all your fault for making this site so friggin amazing with a very friendly atmosphere.

Look forward to hearing thought and opinions from everyone.

Just not a popular trim. Same truck through. Enjoy your truck.

I didn't think the Limited came in a long box. Mine has the short bed.

I like it because it is most comfortable for what I use it for. It is just 2wd, so while it does go offroad several times a month, nothing hardcore. I have yet to get stuck.

I would have gone with a trd or sr5 but I got this limited for nearly $4,000 less then the cheapest one they had. Didn’t see the advantage.

Honestly it’s all that chrome it comes with that turns a lot of people off right there

2016/2017 limted came with leather only so that’s the reason why I bought it. The ease of cleaning seats.

2018s you can choose leather on a TRD offroad. However I don’t like the TSS crap so I’m happy with my py 2017 limtied!

I didn’t think it did either but in Canada that seems to be the only way you can get em.

And apart from the hardcore off raiders I seriously don’t get the long box hate.

For sure agree with that. It’ll be a work in progress to slowly remove it.

I actually seriously considered the Limited, until I found it did not offer the manual transmission. That was my deal breaker.

It’s interesting just how many folks on here prefer manual to auto. It’s alao interesting how different state/Provence’s prefer the trucks configured so differently.

I am alright with people looking for M/T. Makes it that much easier if I decide to sell.
