Hello Tacomaworld, my names Eli and I just bought a 2012 Tacoma a week ago. My truck is an SR5 access cab, it has the 2.7, and a auto tranny. Now the crazy part, it has nearly 205,000 miles on it and I just got it as my daily. My goal is to make it to 300k (and hopefully further). My coworkers call me crazy, but after seeing members say it’s still brand new, I pulled the trigger on the truck. So let me know your guy’s thoughts on my purchase and wether or not I’m insane for buying a taco with 205k on it.

Thanks for all the hospitality guys!! To awnser your questions, I paid $13,500 for the truck. I got it from a local dealership here in WA, it had a minor coolant leak that was fixed at the dealer.

Welcome to TW! You could easily make it to 300k if the truck has been properly maintained.

Your not crazy OP, before my Tacoma I always ditched cars around 80k because I didn't trust them to not need major repairs as they approach 100k+, perhaps this was my misconception but I never liked the idea of buying a car with 100k or more on it.. Seemed like a terrible investment.. However I bought my truck with 150k on it and don't even worry about it.. Why? Because Tacoma..
