    Morning All :hattip:

26 degrees now, up to the mid 50’s later.
Haven't seen alot of farm equipment on roads this fall, fields are too wet.
Today I have to turn in my vacation request for 2019. Set aside 2 weeks for trip to Florida. 2 weeks for hunting. 1 week in December. I can always more days around as I need them. Because I have seniority over my 1st and 3rd shift counterparts I get what I want.

I was near the top of the seniority pile in my old job. Because we had a small crew, we pretty much worked around the set vacation schedule and took off whenever we wanted.

With my "new" job, I'm in the "middle" of the group of 16 in the state seniority wise with 35 years.. WTF! Some have 43-46 years in. Go away already!

The guy that had my position before me had 44 years. That's just crazy to me. I'm at 10 years with only a couple in the office with less. Some have well over 20 but aren't old enough to pull the plug yet.

Edit: I'm at 9....didn't want to over state it.

In the plant I work in we have about 250 people on seniority list. 12 people have 40 years plus. I'm 47 from the top. I don't expect to see top 5, maybe top 10.

I work for County Gov, I'll be working till I die... Probably die on the job in fact!! Wife also works here, she is at 33 years, and in the drop program, she will be forced to retire but will be too young to retire in the next two years... Don't see myself retiring... Wish I'd of won that PowerBall last night!!

I find it interesting that, even though it's 2 states (Ca and Az) how the crop timing is so different. Cotton here is done. They're processing the last few bales at the gin. Yet, we were up near Blythe yesterday and their cotton is still growing. The fields here are all planted in green leaf (lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, etc) and the fields on the other side of the river are still well in summer crops. We did see one field being planted that looked like potatoes but not real sure.

That's me as well. Three more years until I can retire without a penalty. Got the time, just not the age. The wife however says she wants to work another 10. Guess I'll have time to start fishing again, maybe try and kill some clay pigeons or I've been thinking of taking a crack at home brewing.

Good decision. I waited too long and my wife had to take our cat to the vet. It was a very emotional day for them both. I still feel bad I didn't step up.
Give Snickers everything you can over the next few days and know you made the right choice. Lung tumors are the worst, those coughing fits are awful.

On Monday my wife tells me she's going to a Mary Kay get away this weekend. She leaves Friday, comes back Sunday. She said she told me 2 weeks ago, but:notsure::notsure:
Then today, neighbor down the road calls. Their are going away this weekend and asked if I would take care of animals. They have 2 dogs, Blue Healers and rabbits, last count I heard was 75 rabbits. The rabbits I just have to feed and water saturday night. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats.
