New to Tacoma’s. Have wanted one for years.

I had a bad wreck on my Polaris Rzr4 three weeks ago. I almost died but doing fine now. When the insurance paid out on my Rzr I had no desire to climb back in one. So I decided life was short and precious and I used the money to buy the truck I’ve always wanted.

This thing won’t see off road except to hunt. But I want to mall crawl and have the look. Installed a ReadyLIFT 3”/2” today. I have two of my Dick Cepek Extreme Country 255’s here but Hurricane Michael has delayed the other two until tomorrow. Getting an alignment and tires mounted Tuesday. Here’s pics....BTW, started lurking while I was laid up recovering. I’ve already learned a lot from this site.

I referenced my accident. I thought I’d post some pics. First, one is the Rzr. They estimated I was going about 40 mph when I hit the tree. No skid marks, I never hit the brakes. I was knocked out with a pretty nasty impact gash on my forehead. I can post those pics but they’re nasty.

I have no idea what happened. Last I remember was going down a trail called Peggy’s Steep around 10:00 am. The wreck happened around 4:00pm. I start getting memory back about 2:00am as they were loading me up to be medi-vac’d to a bigger hospital with a brain bleed. So I have about a 16 hr blank.

The second pic is what my rib cage did to the steering wheel. The internal bruising I had was in the dr.’s words “impressive”. My ribs are not in good shape on my right side.

The bleed was minor so I didn’t have to have surgery. But three weeks later I’m still having issues. Short term memory is spotty. Im constantly searching for words and names I can’t recall. It’s frustrating. I still get very tired at days in. And I still have a pretty impressive scar healing across my forehead.

But all in all I’m very thankful to be alive. By everyones account the head impact I had should have either killed me or permanently disabled me. And though I’m having some issues, the doctors say I’ll be 100%. The memory issues should abate over the next 3-6 months.

I may one day own another Rzr but not anytime soon. This scared me. I have a wife of 18 yrs I love and a 12 yr old son who’s the best kid in the world that needs his dad.

Last thing....wear your seatbelts. Please. Had I been I woulda have walked away with some seatbelt bruising. One of the dumbest mistakes I’ve made.

I got my tires put on and alignment done. Everything worked out well. The 255/85's are awesome. No rubbing or clearance issues.truck square.jpg truck angle.jpg tire.jpg
