OZBoost turbo group buy 2TR-FE and 3RZ

The one I want is nuts. 7163 calling my name. Spools like a little guy and flows more than a gtx3071. So much engine building I would need to do. Need to whore myself out.

 

That'sthe one that I have been looking at for a twin setup. V-band and internal wastegate. Mmmm. Power and packaging.

Someone actually got a oz boost kit?? I was going to go that route till I found a deal on a supercharger!

 

That plastic 90° elbow, looks like where the MAF sensor installs. @KirkRio , mentioned something in his build about having an issue with the MAF adapter.

The long silicone hoses, are for intake charge "pipes".

The fluid with the bubble, in the fuel pressure gauge, is normal. Those are shock resistant.

Not sure why your kit came with an additional wastegate, when the turbo's turbine housing is internally wastegated already. That blue silicone hose goes from the compressor outlet, to the wastegate.

No need to apologize. I can tell you're new to these things. Just like I used to be.

 

Just make sure to ask a lot of questions. Better to be called "stupid," than make a stupid expensive mistake, due to an under informed decision.

 

Could you take a picture of your factory fuel pressure regulator? I am curious if it is the same as the one on the 1GR. If so, or similar, you can possibly hold off on purchasing a new one, for a little while.

 

I like the header. Looks like plumbing pipe which holds up really well on dirt.

I have really good luck with my afe dry flow in the desert.

That aftermarket wastegate diaphragm is so you can lower boost more with the internal wastegate. The one on it is set to break open at 8-9psi. Little high to start with.

 

Ohhh. That was the diaphragm. Duh. I was thinking it was an external wastegate.

 

Please please keep us posted on this install as I am serious about purchasing one of these. I was told the stock ecu could not keep up with fuel demands of turbo, but that's someones opinion.

 

It is simple science, not just an opinion my friend.

No need to waste your money with OZBoost. Pretty sure this link takes you to their supplier. Don't think those aussies are in business anymore anyway.
