Technically no, but it has the same effect as adding 3/4" spacers. I haven't heard of anyone having problems with them on stock rims on a 2nd Gen.

Looks good! So with 0 offset, will i probably need to get spacers?

I've been reading this thread for the last few days and put together a list of what I think will work best on my truck. I have a 2nd Gen Access Cab V6 with an ARB Bumper, no wench, and a topper on the back.
I'm looking for ~2 inches of lift, hoping that I won't have vibrations and can use the stock control arms.

I put together this list to order from Wheelers:

    Front:
OME 90021 NitroCharger Sport Front Shock Set
OME 2887 Front Coil Spring Set
3/8" Thick Strut Top Plate Spacer Pair
Extended Length Top Plate Stud Set 2"
Front Strut Stem Cushion and Washer kit

    Rear:
OME 60091 NitroCharger Sport Rear Shock Set
    2" Lift Add-A-Leaf Set AAL32
    Leaf Spring U-Bolts 7.75"

My two questions. First, does anybody see any glaring problems with this?
And second, do I have all the parts I need to put this together? Thanks

I bought my truck and it came with ome full suspension kit and 881’s and 8 leaf pack. Seems right since it also came with are shell and custom rack on top as well as custom steel rear bumper with spare tire swing. All in all a lot of extra weight. I emstimate it to be around 350lbs constant load without my gear in the bed. I’ve bottomed out the rear suspension quite a bit causing my tires to eat up my fender flares when this happens. Soon ill be adding relentless fab sliders, front bumper and winch so ill be upgrading my coils to 883's or 882's.. still doing the research..Not sure how long the suspension has been on the truck before I got it aand am trying to figure out if I need the Dakar add a leaf or maybe new leaf springs all together.. The leafs don’t have the w shape but do look a bit flat. Maybe extended shackles and/or the aal for the dakar leaf set? thanks in advance! new to all this and trying to learn as much as possible but its hard to understand what goes with what,, ect.

That's going to put you up towards 3" on the front. Ditch the top plate spacers. Get a trim packer.

You’ll want 885’s or 886’s up front which will settle at about 2.5” of lift without spacers. And I second what @la0d0g said.

Who's got the CS047R model Dakar's paired with the Bilstein 5160's? I'm looking for a review on this set up after 10K miles or so. I currently have the 5100's out back and am looking to swap those out for a remote resi style shock. Not really wanting or needing to drop serious coin on Kings/ADS/Icon and am quite pleased on the 5100's performance after 40K miles.

I still haven't done anything about this.

Should I get 1/2 and 1/4" spacers for the driver/passenger or just get 886's?

Personally don’t see anything wrong, it is a truck, supposed to have rake. 886 will stiffen the ride, but are designed to support bumper and winch. Also remember that spacers give double lift height; 1/4 = 1/2. or go 888

Yeah and the ride is already pretty darn jarring (e rated tires?) so I’m not sure how fun 886’s would be. This rake is with a 1/4” spacer on the driver, so I’d still have rake if I’d only gain another half inch. Maybe I’ll just keep as is until I replace shocks in the next 30k or so.

C rated tires would definitely help the ride. What is your rear spring set up? Maybe you could the lower rear, by removing a leaf. Spacers would be the simple solution without changing ride. Tacoma’s have too many solutions to one issue all depends on the $ we are willing to spend

I just installed 5100s with 887s on my 2018 today, but only got about 1.5" lift in the front. This combo was supposed to produce around 2.25" lift for my DCSB.

    Thoughts?

Hello all, what a huge thread this is and so many different opinions. All good as there are many ways to skin a cat.
I figured this being the OME thread I would be ok to post in this thread.
    Admins move if need be.
I have a 2015 DCLB I just turned 60k and the Bridgestone are wore out. I'm ready to buy my lift and get some tires on it.
I've read so much on this site that I'm throughly confused on which way to go. Lol.
I plan on pulling the trigger today on the lift. Looking at an OME with a new leaf pack and new tires.
Not adding a bumper or any extra weight. Planned on the full leaf set, just because I do pull my boat around. I would like to level the front a little but if that includes going with new upper control arms as well I'll stick with the rake it has.
Need a straight up answer to which way to go, and optimal tire size that's bigger than stock but will not rub or kill the fuel efficiency to bad.
Can you guys help a brother out?

    Budget?

Just know that UCAs are HIGHLY recommended when approaching 2.5" of lift or more. If you can swing them, get them. You will thank me in the long run.

I'm trying to get into the lift and set of tires for 2500 or less if possible.
What is the benefit of the control arms? More clearance or better alignment?

Better life wear and longer tire life. You will actually be able to drive you're truck and not be in the alignment shop all the time. Nor will the truck wander on the highway.

    Ok that makes sense,
So this is the list I've put together.
OME full lift with 884 springs and trim packers pre-assembled, Dakar leaf pack.
Not sure what tires yet. Luckily I can get them wholesale through a friend and he has the lift and tire machines. Planning on doing this next Saturday if I can.
What size tire looks good under this lift without rubbing issues?
Seems like many people going differently and the threads get all caught up on a particular aspect.
I'm not trying to be an indecisive a$$,
I'd like to hear. Went this way, went with this tire size, all worked out and I love it. Lol if control arms are in that list I'll do it.

285 - look great, but you have to cut.

265 - no rub no cut.

    Depends if you wanna cut
