Anyone know what happened here? I have no clue. Noticed when I was washing the truck. Second pic is normal. Just a comparison.

Check that bushing, but no matter what happened you need to notch those buckets. Even the one not currently touching, will hit in certain circumstances.

I'm curious if the shock body rotated at all. If not it's most likely the bushing.

He means groove out the metal where that 90 degree fitting comes out. So it never has the opportunity to rub.

Notch the buckets and do it soon because if the fitting cracks on the shock, you are going to have a bad day.

I wouldn’t want that to happen.

I cant beleive that the 90 didnt fail and actually bent the bucket. You might want to go play the lotto this weekend.

I literally cant believe it hasnt. If i need to bandaid it till I had time to notch, i would pull the bottom bushing and stack washers under it to try and space the fittings away from the buckets. Heavy fender washer can be found at lowes/home depot.

Worth mentioning that you need to check where the resi hose passes by the side of the bucket. You might need to notch there as well.

Gotcha man. Thanks for the help.
Thankfully it hasn’t broken, maybe it’s not as bad?

Its a pressurized system. So if it had a stress crack you would already know.

Sometimes thise fittings loosen up so as you are fixing it try and lightly tighten it.

Just checked everything it looks good, bushings looks good too. and considering I’ve been driving and didn’t noticed till today.
Still going to cut part of the frame. So it never touches.
