...to wait until he warranty expires @25K mi, then get started with mods related to the powertrain?
I've read a few threads where warranty was mentioned, but didn't find any info related to all the planned work I have in mind
I'm even wary of yanking the charcoal filter outta airbox...
Besides all this, my parts shelf in garage at home is still full with Land Rover parts, which need to go away asap, bc yours truly is presently threaten by wife with sleeping in the garage, with the respective parts as company
ANd it's got cold around here, folks!:(

All I can say is "it depends". It depends on the dealership whether they want to warranty something due to your mods. Some dealerships won't care. Some will try to attribute a particular mod to a particular failure.

    Thx for the answer.
I will wait for the warranty to expire, even if that hurts a bit

That was kinda first mod I have in mind after my warranty expires!
I worked on many Volvo turbos in my lifetime. I actually turboed a couple of NA Volvos over the years
The LH Bosch 2.3 NA fi system could handle up to like extra 7-8 psi, depending of the shape of the motor.
I have yet to study how the Toyota NA model fuel delivery system could handle the boost furnished by a turbocharger.
Btw: I hate superchargers, just bc I just hate scavengers!
So, turboing is the way to go!
Now, Volvo turbo engines had lower CR than the NA versions of same engines.
And sodium filled exhaust valves, in order to be able to handle the higher temps of the exhaust gases resulted from a turbo motor.
And as always (in the case of a turbo motor), the A/R ratio is the key!
I'm new to Toyotas, so will have to give more hours to studying this
Any input re this matter would be greatly appreciated
