probably in his mind it was all still arguable if he or Hamilton is the better driver, with 4 titles each.

so, yeah, he's done himself no favors. legendary status is quickly moving right away from him all for HAM.

Personally I think the penalty is a bit arguable. There's only so much you can slow down, at the speed they're going, and in the rain without losing control of the car and crashing.

But I guess it is what it is.

 

but it was consistent with other grid penalties given thru out the year with other drivers

Which is funny cause Ferrari really looked like they had the upper hand for a few races. More pace, strats, ect. Then viola things went to crap for them

I found it pretty good up until it seemed like Ferrari lost whatever advantage they had found with their battery power , now I just want Hamilton to DNF in every race. , plus watching Alonso's time in F1 whimper to an end has been depressing

 

I found out where my local ABC affiliate is going to show the race -- on one of the "point" secondary broadcast channels. You know, the ones that don't come on the cable feed.



I'm stuck with watching the replay tonight.

I don't know if it the new F1 ownership or just the steady march of technical progress, but the camera coverage and shot quality just seems SO good this year. Watching the cars bend the laws of physics through the esses at COTA is mesmerizing.

I agree that the year is getting boring but I wouldn't blame HAM or Mercedes. I would blame Ferrari. WTF happened to that team. We had a real battle for a while, now they can't keep their s**t together for 3 days in a row. I'm really hoping LeClerc's arrival next year makes a difference.
