So... This happened today. Bed Bars installed, hi-lift moved, MaxTrax attached, bed storage installed and "stuff" stored...

If I'm not mistaken you went with the 886 Coils, correct?

Any plans for a larger tire? You think you could fit 33's?

    Your truck looks sharp man.

Thanks. Yes, 886's. And next set will be 33's. I would possibly do a cab mount chop and go with 35s. but I think I'd have to re-gear... And this is also my daily driver, so MPGs count.

Hey Truggin! So 886's with the firm struts and no front bumper? Reason I ask, I'm looking at pulling the trigger for the same set up. I have a bumper and winch though... I hate a super stiff ride and was considering the softer strut but you're running this set up without a bumper or winch?!! So.... not too stiff for ya?

Correct. But there is a bumper and winch in my future... (Hopefully). The ride is stiff, but not super stiff. I do have 180 lbs of skids, plus Mobtown sliders. (Not sure how much the sliders weigh)

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I daily my Tacoma 40 miles each way. I have 255s on stock wheels. I also plan on moving to 35s right when these are done. If you are worried about weight, these are the numbers I've come up with in regards to unaired tires and the wheels Ihave planned on buying, vs what I currently have.

83lbs per tire and factory trd offroad wheel. 255-85-16 cooper st-maxxs (trd offroad wheel weighs 24-25lbs)

    88lbs per wheel with scs f5s. 315-75-16 cooper st-maxxs (SCS f5s weigh 19lbs)

The difference in weight by tire is about 9lbs just in rubber. You can offset the weight kinda by going with a light wheel. Just a thought

Hey man sorry if you’ve posted it already but what’s your center of hub to fender measurement with the 886s? I have some sagging and want to see if I’m lower than most others or if it’s just natural sag

Tacoma- 16" method nv, but some plans are forming thanks to TW. Bronco- 11" lift, 38x15.50, want to diesel motor/driveline
I've looked into something like the shiftsense before and got alot of bad reviews from other TW members about them destroying the ECU and what not, but after reading a few reviews it seems like a fairly safe route to go. My question is does it take away that ridiculous drag when you try to gun it?

OK, so I've got roughly 450 pounds of extra weight from stock with the skid plates, rock sliders, bed bars and recovery gear. With all of that I am sitting at 23 3/4" center of hub to bottom of fender +/- 1/4" on all four corners.

I don't think I ever experienced any real drag either before or after the Shift Sense. So not sure if it would help your situation or not. But I absolutely love the way it drives with the SSPro. Any time I forget to engage it, I'm quickly reminded to do so.

Man something is definitely off for me, I’m 22” center hub to fender in front with only sliders as my added weight.

I'm on 32" tires, that could make a small difference, depending on what you're on.
