Has anyone else had trouble with finding boards that fit their truck? I have a 18 Tacoma sport double cab with mudguards on it and have been through two sets of boards. I'm looking specifically for nerf boards. The Weston boards I had were too long and pushed against the mudguards. I switched them with Aries which ended up mounting too high and tight to the body that trying to use them people were kicking the crap out of my rockers.

    Any suggestions would be great.

I had to get the N Fab nerf step bars. Easy installation

These fit really well. I had a few requirements when I was looking... Nerf style, stainless material, black powder coat finish, closed toe (so kids can't slip through). These fit perfect. Room between flaps, and just enough room to still wash rocker panels.

Curious, what's wrong with the OEM boards?

I almost bought the oem predator nerfs (black over aluminum), but the open steps ended up being a deal breaker after reading some threads about kids feet slipping through the steps. When I see how careless my kids are getting in and out, I'm glad I bought the ones I did...
I almost bought a truck with the oem hard tonneau and predator steps (in that case I would have kept them and let my kids break their legs...lol).

Had the same issue as you. I picked up the Westin nerf bars initially and couldn't fit them with the factory mud guards. Ended up getting the Raptor Series 5" stainless steel nerf bars. I head up to the mountains every weekend in winter and haven't had any issues with slipping on the steps.
