I didnt even consider plastic welding.
First take down the overhead console. Pull the edge closest to the seats down. Your not gonna break it but it will require some force to pop out. Then do the front left and right corners. Again pull straight down.

Second, remove the plug in wires by pushing down the clip.

Third, to affix the new plate its going to be easiest to remove the back cover. Unplug the rest of the cablea and get them out of the way, similar clips. Grind off the oval plastic tabs on the back until you can lift the cover off.

Fourth, remove the existing switches. Squeeze in and push forward on their clips.

Fifth, remove the existing switch plates. The driver side and center have clips to push in and then push them out.

6th, the passenger side is where the cutting begins. Remove all of the plastic that will prevent you from pushing the new plate into place. Make sure you cut out enough to allow a seated switch.

7th, now from the back you can either epoxy, plastic weld, contact putty the new panel in place. Meso said he plastic welded his. You ould use a soldering iron and some scrap abs to do this or harbour freight has a cheap plastic welder. Jb weld could work too you get the idea.

    8. Install the switches and wire em up.

    9 test the switch wiring.

10 replace the back cover and epoxy, plastic weld it back in place.

11 plug in the cables you unplugged.

12 push back into headliner until flush.

Ordered this a LONG time ago. Then my dog ate it so I had to order another. Then it sat in my garage for months. Finally had a free weekend and worked to get it installed. Took advantage of the ch4x4 bla k Friday sale to order switches

awesome! Not sure why there is a little gap along the bottom(maybe switch plate didn't get pushed down far enough?) regardless, once up in the headliner the black behind will hide it.

Yeah I dont know. I was wondering that myself. I realized the whole piece has a slight arch to it. I figured it was just normal from printing. I'm not too worried about it at the moment. I may get concerned once all the lights are on. If light starts shining through there I might try and take some black silicone and seal it up.

Did the panel fit the stock switches ? I have the TRD OR and have two stock switches I rather not have to replace.

Yes. I have an OR and this panel (have yet to install) and see no differences. However, I did get some blank switch covers for that size and they fit no problem.

Does anyone have any install instructions or pics of what they cut up on the inside of the console?

Here you go. I took everything that protruded skyward on the back, avoiding those two heat welds to the left and the right (oblong protrusions). Everything within the space between the front and back cutouts was also taken. Be more careful than I was on the front. I caught the edge with the collet nut on my dremel and scraped away a bit. A couple layers of masking tape would have prevented it.

Awesome, thank you! So the new panel just drops in and sits on a small ledge that you plastic weld it onto then?

There is a ledge on the left side, but not the right iirc. The right I just fit in place and brushed the epoxy on from the back.
