    Thank You Sum1 Else
I am at this point actually doing a very minute portion of the work as I have just undergone Retinal surgery on the 8th of this month I however do have a Very talented Son & his Best friend handling the heavy lifting...
the truck is worth the investment ....
Bonus : I recently received word that my Bid on an A.R.E. 6 ' cab height Cap with the Windoors was accepted and I hope to have it delivered sometime in the next week or so...
This will, i am confident keep me in my Tacoma for at least another 9-10 years ....

Started the day at Grosswerx at 09:30 Chris and I installed Kilmat on the entire floor and back of cab.
Next we installed the new carpet and the center console, then the rear cab panel and all the sill plates and lower kick panels...
Move up front, install spacers and trim tabs to lock the wings to the new front bumper, install rear driver's side fender flares up and cab 3rd brake light...mounted the front bumper w/fog lights new headlights and grille... Traced out wiring for fogs and installed new switch for them...end of day 7:00pm...
Have not been able to assist as much as I would have liked .....but feel I made up a portion of that today...
Photos as soon as I can

    some things to complete ...
    A) Rear bumper modifications and weld up the brackets for it....
    2) the spare tire holder is currently empty and i'm not sure if I'll put one back onder there ...
    Z) the Parking lights are not functioning so that gremlin needs to be fixed.

The headlights are the Stock OEM units and look so freaking great compared to the 13 year old units... I had contemplated a set of projector units but the budget just didn't allow for them...
the Tailgate and Gas cap door as well as the Filler pieces below the headlights still need to go on and the Tailgate needs to be painted... BUT Jeezus did it needed a drastic amount of work to be like new again ....
every stiffener brace inside the thing had popped loose and needed to be re-set w/new panel bond adhesive..
I took measurements and will be fabricating a metal stiffener overlay panel to keep this from happening again.:welder:

Okay that concludes this episode ! next up is Mounting real snow tires on OEM rims ...:spending:

Almost complete , Snow tires need to be swapped over in the coming weeks ( not till I am sure we are going to get at least 3-6 inches of the damn stuff) Rear bumper brackets need to be fabricated so so that can be mounted. I have my eye on a set of Sliders not that i'm a Rock crawler but to protect the Body work from Baluster posts at ATM's &such..... and I have an Idea for a Swing out spare tire carrier...:transformer: stay tuned....lol

Well I took advantage of the 34 minutes it wasn't rainin and pulled the ATV lift out of the shed.
I then proceeded to attach a cross Beam of 2"X4" aluminum "C" channel and clamped the 6" drop Mount to that inverted.
    44982916_2336308576442249_38818703535589_5ccb1b4a2cac1f219b8ca9218c5471c3e3425f94.jpg
At that point I mounted the bumper up to the Stand ......
I then proceeded to " Square up " the bumper to the frame horns and surprisingly, it was about 3/32"
to the right of the Center of the Box. Not enough for me to screw around with....Nope.
    44948326_2336308639775576_20341700755854_4cd084797ccdff120ba14740b06855ce86a2a516.jpg
This leaves me with cutting and welding 2 2" X 2" X 1/4" Square tubes to weld the EAG supplied brackets to the OEM toyota brackets. I know from the photos that it looks like it is tipping away from the bed, I assure you I took into consideration that the truck was in fact NOT level ...lol

this will all be dealt with tomorrow on the lift and I will make it look correct because it will be...
Also, Let me be the first to tell you all......I HATE PINE NEEDLES.........:sawzall:

A couple of items to note: the kilmat was a suggestion from a former coworker who restored his 05 Tacoma and his Cessna 2 seat personal plane ...for a sheet of .050 aluminized sound reduction material I figured it would be a little better, but it wouldn't make that big of a difference......
I was mistaken ! The reduction in the cabin from the tire and exhaust noise is a full 25%. Yes it required the interior be removed , but that happened anyway.. money well spent

So, apparently there is a difference in Gen1 and Gen2 cast aluminum Tacoma rims?
I say this because the Tacoma wheels I purchased do not have enough clearance for the front brake Calipers
To allow the wheels to rotate ....:censored:
    Any insights would be appreciated.

Update: ordered a set of 12mm thick spacers for the wheels.... Now looking for 12mm x 1.5 mag base lug nuts with a .80 length below the 22 mm nut/cap..
Update 2 ; Im not sure about the length.. but seems all the ones I've found are for 1" or Thicker.....Grrrr...

Well, I've been recuperating from retinal surgery, a heavy work load and of course, the Silly season is upon. Us... But I have managed to get the play area covered and the bed mat cut to a rough fit, the cap is now secured with the rail mounted cap clamps...
I replaced the gas struts and modified a door lock paddle to keep the rear tail hatch closed in rough riding...
    pics soon

Outfitted for a repair job on a Yamaha XT250
The puzzle piece floor mat is excellent for keeping evertevery from shifting around, and it's very easy on my old knees..
The boxes up front by the cab are my black Pelican tool box and my winter travel kit, I also have a keyboard stand to set the Pelican case on, a couple of buckets with my metric wrench roll, dead blow ball been, some " Metal Marinade" aka AeroKroil , and a few misc pieces and parts.. I'm hitting the road tommorow am to head to Connecticut do the XT255 Fork installation and some other items for a friend of mine ..

Welcome. This is by far one of my favorite threads of 2018. More pics please!!!

What Gen 1 wheels did not fit? Very curious as there were only really two 16 inch sets (steel/alumimum) and a guy around here has them on his 2nd gen.
