Pretty sure its going to be Body On Frame and share the Ranger underpinnings so I would hope it won't have that generic new Blazer look.

I just asked a ford dealer in SC when they were expecting the 2019 Ranger and they said “probably mid-2019.”

    That seems crazy to me.

I heard January, but that might be when pre-orders start getting delivered, with trucks on the lot coming later

I saw something about F250/350 tailgates falling down while driving as well.

Buy the Ranger. You get what you pay for. lol.

Real life pictures are now up on Ranger5G forums. Yes..it's a DIFFERENT body style than the asian/Hilux counterparts.

Interior looks a lot more upscale. I think it will look awesome on BF KO tires. The red one is gorgeous and apparently, both the pay load and gas mileage WILL be the best in the mid size truck category.

I'm thinking of just leasing a '18 Taco for 2 years and then return it and by then, the Ranger would be 2nd year with all the 1st gen issues ironed out and then I can plunge for it. Get the best of both worlds :). Taco lease rates are under $400/month now with only $995 down..at least from my local dealer.

Good ol' Saudi Arabia.... I had this truck when I was there in 2016. I hated it.... I always picked the land cruisers over the shitty rangers.

I said might..............but probably not.................since if it's eye-catching or has twin turbo diesel, the price is gonna be kray kray.

May be worth a look in a couple years. If they had a MT I'd definitely be interested. How do the Focus ST/RS handle high miles?

C'on mate. Ranger has been available in other regions for a while now and in Aussie, it already beat Toyota Hilux sales last year.

I don't think Ford will release a complete piece of shit in the US market knowing their reputation is on the line as well and they've been working on the US Ranger for a while now.

    Just sayin.

I did sign up for the test drive during our car show here in San Jose in a few weeks.
