So the lift is done. Ride is a little firmer than stock but you feel much more planted to the road. I went with OME887 coils. Bilstein 5100 all around and AAL rear. Powder coated stock sport wheels with falken wildpeaks. 265s

Looks great, confirms for me that’s the way to go. The suspension anyway, I’ll keep the stock wheels and go with Duratracs

Awesome man. I’d love to see more pics if you got them because I’m looking to do almost the exact same lift that you did.

I finished late last night. I’ll take some today. I was driving myself NUTS on how to lift it. I do almost all road driving. I HATED the nose dive under regular braking that is gone. Normal bumps are soaked up. Ass end seems more planted. Doesn’t want to be squirrelly. I have had lifted Jeep’s, 1 gen taco, 2nd gen tundra. This is my favorite.

Tires are awesome was raining last night and gripped perfectly. On the trip computer driving my normally I would average 20.5-21. On the hundred miles last night driving how I normally do I was at 20.2. Again computer driven not doing the math. Road noise is slightly higher with radio off. But hell I have a system for a reason.

Have you had Duratracs before? I'm a Wildpeak guy but it's because I always hear Duratracs hydroplane over puddles.

Nope I was honestly a bfg guy. Ran all terrain and mud terrains. Never really happy with snow abilities. We’ll see how these are.

Nope, going mainly by the review on snow performance. I don’t see how that tire can be any worse than a “no season” tire for hydroplaning. Or any AT tire for that matter. Lots of space between treads.

That’s what sucks about picking tires, very little quantitative testing but plenty of subjective opinions. Both KO2s and Duratracs get lots of complaints for wet performance while AT2s and Wildpeaks get praise. Who knows what’s actually true.

But I run the P Wildpeaks so it’s an unfair comparison to the LT versions with a different compound and deeper tread. I wanted ATx but they don’t make them in the size I want to run yet.

Let us know how they perform. It looks like with the El Niño setup you are going to get plenty of snow in upstate NY this winter.

I live in western NY. Upstate NY stops around Syracuse. We get totally different storms here, most the storms seen in upstate are nor’easters and the like. We don’t get those, we get mostly lake effect snow.

I pm’ed a lot of ppl with the wild peaks about snow traction. I’m in northern nj. In the mountains. Not 1 complaint on snow. I will give my opinion in a few months.

What I was debating was 885 vs 887. And your truck looks right with 887’s

I’m not really sold on them though, what I really want is a good AT tire that’s good in the snow, that won’t start to howl as they wear. The noise thing I haven’t really looked into yet, I have some time to decide.

Wow! Powder coating/painting the Sport wheels completely changes the look of the wheel. I'm starting to like the idea of doing this rather than spending $800+ on a new set.

Yes sport wheels looked awesome powder coated. I’m lucky one of my venders at work hooked me up BIG time on doing them. I got them all done for what one trd sema wheel should have cost me. Plus he is painting all the center caps to match.

I was also wondering as to the difference between the 885s and 887s. Figured I’d go just a touch bigger.
