Day 5, (yesterday) moved camp deep into Kanes Creek, just a day to relax, cook up some good food, and sit by the fire.

Awesome pictures. The wife and I stayed in Montrose for a week at the beginning of Oct. I wanted to take her to Moab but couldn’t find the time. Spent a lot of time driving around the NF outside of Ridgway Co, if you have time you have to check out the San Juan skyway, absolutely beautiful ride.

Thanks, I may go that. The wife wants to go to Cody Wyoming next year, we are looking at options to get out of Ca. I have a friend that lives in Montrose and he’s trying to get me to move out there. Not sure I can trade one blue state for another, though western CO is fairly conservative.

Day 6 (yesterday) no cell service at camp. We drove Potash and Hurrah in the Tacoma and then ran Chucken Corners on the bikes.

Day 7, (yesterday) nothing special, just shopped and toured around Moab for the day, cooked up some good food and relaxed. It's good to just get away.

Are you driving the “million dollar highway”? I didn’t make it to Ouray or Silverton, but hear it’s a beautiful ride. Oh well maybe next time. Oh, and if you are hungry when you get to Ridgway, check out True Grit cafe, great food.

I am in Silverton right now, and driving over Ridge Pass at over 11000' elevation.

Day 10 we found a campsite at Haviland Lake in the dark last night and woke up to this. We are now staying at an RV site just outside of Durango CO. Going to visit the city for a couple of days before heading out again. More to come.

How many mpg are you getting towing that trailer?

About 9 to 11, depends how fast I go, passing slow trucks, and any head winds. The trailer only weighs about 3200 lbs and another 500 lbs in the bed. Tows it all very nicely. I try to stay around 60 to 65, but have gone as fast as 80+.

Awesome man. I want to buy a travel trailer in the next year, I live in the northern Sac valley and there are tons of lakes around. Not looking for anything big, kind of like yours.
